2nd main toyline...hmmmm.... I'd have to go with Hot Wheels. I'll pick up a cool car every now and then, just because.
I do not have a 2nd main toyline. I only collect Transformers. I have a few Star Wars things but those are mainly the Transformer versions and that interchangeable Darth Vader figure. Other than that, that's it.
Alternators is all I really collect, I have a few Cybertron figures, and now one of those Sigma 6 mini-figure sets - but my collecting is pretty limited.
I'm on a bit of an Evangelion kick right now, so I've been picking up Evangelion stuff that interests me from multiple lines (Revoltech, Angel Chromosome, Model Kits, etc). I also pick up a few figures here and there from other lines that interest me (Marvel Legends, DC Direct, McFarlane Toys). The only other line besides Transformers that I buy consistently are Stikfas, but those are released rather slowly, so it's not much of an investment.
Mine was Zoids, back in the 80's & 90's. I posted the Zoids collection images on the Zoids thread about a couple of weeks ago.
Yup! From what I observed most collectors here have 2-3 main lines tops. Most of us go to 3rd, 4th lines because of the occasional "nice" figure or figures or influenced by the shows etc.
My second line is Brave - though it frequently vies for first and Transformers second, since Gaofighgar is what I want most this month with Starscream second. My third would be Revoltech. I like the different mecha and they're pretty afforadable.
I am not even sure TF is my main toy line anymore. Marvel Legends have increasingly taken my time (to hunt) and money, while TF has taken a back seat until Classics and MP come out. I'd say Gundam is third but I haven't started working on any of the 30 or so models I have. Macross Valks would be my 3rd I got Bandai, Yamato (1/60), and Toyami MP. About 14 Valks total between me and my brother.
Well other than transformers I collect bionicle and then at an occasion some EXO-FORCE toys. but other than that naw
I guess Sigma 6 would be mine. My S6 collections kind of bare with having four Snake Eyes (normal, Ninja Armor, Night Ops and Jungle Ops so I guess I'm partially to blame for the 700 versions of Snake Eyes), Heavy Duty, the two cobra robots and Firefly though. Theres lots of other things I'd like to collect but I just don't want to invest the time/money to hunt everything down.
Mine would have to be Marvel Legends and the other ML like Marvel lines (XM, SM, etc). Third is Naruto.
Hmm, Transformers is my 1st main toyline, followed by Superheroes, Marvel Legends etc. I'm not actually that fussy about what Superheroes it is, I just got a Super Articulated 14 inch Superman Returns fig from the Mattel line. After that I'd have to say Star Wars, although that was mainly because of the Ep 3stuff. I can't see myself buying much more SW stuff anyway, not after my Clone Wars Republic Gunship, and all the bits I've had to hunt down for it (from Ep 2). Next up is Evangelion, although I'm being VERY picky about what I pick up from that series, the last stuff I got was the two Medicom RAH figs, soooooo expensive but also sooooooo very nice. Vintage wise the only thing I collect now is Centurions... and I think I've just about completed what I want from that series.
Transformers is actually my second line.... but it is gaining fast since there are so many cool new molds appearing lately. First toy line, first love, is Lego. I also have a small collection of the Bandai Megaman/Rockman models. I've thought about getting into Evangelion, but it seems like a slippery slope. Have to keep repeating to myself: "just because I like a show, doesn't mean I have to own the toys from it." Repeat ad nauseum. Phew!
GI Joe is my second, Marvel Legends is my main. TF's used to be the main up until Energon was released.
Right now my TF interest is on the decline, re-issues are drying up, I’m over Alternators and the main “kids” lines don’t interest me. But I am liking what I have been seeing in the Classics line. Marvel Legends is my “official” second and I have a growing interest in Macross.
