The instructions show it moving straight up to be parallel to the body. Mine moves on an angle, and there is no way to straighten it out. What gives?

You have to be a bit forceful with it. I swore I was going to break mine the first time and I had to show my roomie how to do his.

Just push it upwards really hard? The rolling bar looks like it will only move back at a 45 degree angle.

Edit: I got it. I was afraid I was going to break it, too.

don't push it straight up like the instruction deceptively shows.

it's on a swing bar like you noticed, you'll have to pull it first and then rotate it upwards on the swing bar. if my solscud didn't show me at sdcc it would have taken me a long time to figure out, i wonder how many people out there have their soundwaves with the chest on the stomach.

Yeah it goes in an arc instead of a straight line

If you're hardcore like me, then you don't use the instructions and you get it right the first time! :D

It's the first time I've looked at instructions in quite a while...not that the instructions even helped!

The instructions are more of a photoshoot than real instructions
