Yes, this is another one of those threads where someone asks if a certain toy is any good, something we see a lot of these days.

But this guy is almost famous for all the mixed reactions, so is Devy worth that big Price tag? I've been thinking about getting him, but he has to be a great toy, lots of fun, for me to pay that much money for him.

    So, is he worth $100?

No, but Costco is going to have him for $75, which might be worth it. Still, he'll be the last figure I get, as I'd rather spend my money on better figures.

    Clearance, yes.
Gift, maybe. Would be tempted to return it for $100.

I think it is alright. Not the best, but could have been worse. It's your decision, and your money. So it is you that has to like it. If it takes convincing, maybe you should wait.

Costco is having him cheaper, but you have to be a member to shop there if I recall, so the membership fee basically means you spent $100. Then again, I'm not sure what the membership fee is these days.

I guess the staff should just delete the feedback forum.

I paid full price for him but think he is only worth probably $70 to $80 max. I am too impatient to wait for price drops and I always think I will miss out.

I bought him and I like him so far. He's a fun toy, his vehicle modes are all pretty well sculpted and detailed (except Hightower, frankly), and his robot mode is VERY impressive and scary.

But I'd say he's definitely overpriced.

I'm going to keep mine, but I'd say he's worth $60-80, not $100. Pick him up, but try to get him on sale (e.g., Amazon). I'd only recommend paying full price if you can't find him cheaper in the next few months, and are worried that you'll have to pay Ebay prices when he finally disappears from store shelves.

If my local Costco never put out Leader Megs or Ops, is that a good sign that they likely will not be receiving Devastator either?

Amazon has it for around $75 right now. It's tempting, but there are too many other things either coming out soon or on the horizon to really justify the expense.

I'll accept it as a gift, but I doubt I'd ever put any money to getting him, unless (I am dead serious, from what I've seen, I hate him) I find him for something under $8. It just pretty much solidifies my decision not to get him.

At the very least, in terms of plastic mass I bet that devvy is actually the best value for $ transformer on the shelves right now, legends at the opposite end.
