Recently, I was shown a thread (by Nevermore) on another board regarding Unicron and Primus. The question was raised: if Primus turns into Cybertron, what was the name of the planet Unicron turned into?

Naive? Perhaps! But I was reminded of something.

Wally Burr, the voice director for the Generation 1 cartoon and movie, was at BotCon 2005. He had duplicates of various animation models for sale. I saw that one of these was Unicron - and noticed something interesting in the corner, so took a photograph of it.

So the answer is... Unicron is the name of the planet. "Ingestor" is - well, was going to be the name of his robot form.

Takes the wind out of that dark god's sails, that's for sure.

Ha. Definitely interesting bit of trivia to add to the mythology. Also glad that it was not used. Blagh.

Wow, thats a crazy revelation. 'Unicron' sounds much better than Ingestor....that sounds like a name they would have used during Beat Wars:lol

Ingestor is such a He-Man name. Jesus, I'm glad they strayed from that.

    ...yikes...

Glade they stayed away from that name. Although Ingestor as the planet name would have been alright if they absolutely had to, but I just prefer that the whole thing was called Unicron.

Ingestor as the planet name would have been fine, agreed.
