What's the rarest video game you own? Why is it so rare?
i have a factory sealed PAL copy of shenmue 2.
two saturn games, one I bought for retail--panzer dragoon saga--and the other I bought at ebay prices--radiant silvergun.
Wing Commander Armada, why is it so rare? Hell if I know, but every time I tried to find it I had 0 luck, then me pappy tried and found a copy, thus completeing my Wing Commander collection.
Game's fricken awsome, turned based space strategy and then units start fighting each other you get into the cockpit and duke it out to see who wins the fight.
I have no fucking idea. I need to troll my collection... which is all in boxes. Somewhere
i also have a ps2 copy of marvel v capcom 2, which for some reason seems to fetch decent prices on ebay.
Snatcher, you fool.
oh yeah i have that too! FTW!
going based only on low production runs rather than "assumed rarity because it's popular" which gets games like chrono trigger labeled rare?
Megaman IV and V for Gameboy
Metal Gear Solid for GBC (I have a hard time convincing some people that this even exists)
Wild Arms Alter Code: F for PS2
complete boxed copy of Klonoa: Midnight Museum for Bandai's Wonderswan
Sold em all!
Limited Edition: Castlevania: SOTN (PS1) with limited deluxe art book containing Castlevania music collection cd. I'm not sure if its classed as rare but know there was a limited amount made.
Did you get it on that day?
The day of the incident?
Yes that day.
The day it snowed.
actually is was the day the rain turned to snow.
Rarest game I own is Cubivore for the Gamecube. Man I love that game!!
zelda 1 in gold.
I'm not sure if any of these are 'rare' but I Final Fantasy 1, Dragon Warrior 1 and Zelda 1 all for the NES with their boxes and manuals in great shape.
I also have Big Nose the Caveman which is rare with awesomeness because it's gold and has a switch in the back of the cartridge.
Not rare, per se, but I have a mint, shrinkwrapped copy of sonic 2. Um Parasite EVE, which is kinda pricey, Mutant League Hockey...bunch of boxed NES games...none too rare, but all pretty expensive to buy. The rarest item in my gaming collection is my Nintendo Color TV Game Block Kusure(1979, boxed with instructions). Also, I have a Coleco Telstar Ranger, which I'd assume is pretty rare, and predates the nintendo console by 2 years.
