TFC is making Hercules and Maketoy is make Giant....
My question is thus, what combiner should be done next?

I personally wouldn't mind a Classics-styled set of trainbots.

What are you guys hoping for?

I would like:
Seacons
Pretender monsters

Not technically a combiner but a roughly supreme class IDW Style Thundrwing with a scout classed inner-robot

 

I'm hoping for a Seacon set. But Defensor is up next (a simple recolour of that Star Cats thing). Menasor (Animated) is / was also made. Predaking has been vastly advanced by Crazy Devy, who are slowly articulating / improving all the G1 Gestalts. An Abominus or Computron would be cool and new.

@ElSnarfo I love the crazy idea of the hugeness of Hercules, but that would be another huge strain on the wallets of many collectors.

Another idea popped into my head. What is Perfect Effect did the combining cassettes?

 

Who knows what kinda stunts these guy will pull next?

 

Menasor and Defensor

 

I would love to see Menasor and Defensor. If they could make a new Predaking that had the huge scale and the articulation, that would also be awesome.

 

TFC is already working on 2 other combiners (a Dino combiner, Star Cats Project and PCC limbs with individual robot modes) so It's kinda unlikely for them to announce another one.
There's always rumors about Fans Project working on the Stunticons but other than that I believe no other combiners have been announced/rumored.

 

Is that dino combiner (what I still think of as) the glacial combiner thing?
Y'know, with the mammoth and what-not?

I think FP had some non-TF monster combiner thingy in the works, so that might be next one with some basis.

What I'd like to see? Predaking, followed by Computron.

Being more practical and realistic, maybe the Stunticons, Protectobots or the Predacons.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a new take on Bruticus from someone. Colossus rocks, but there's probably a market for a more G1 accurate version with all new molds.

 

Menasor needs more love.

Legs with knees, more city parts, elbows.... I think there is potential.
