That takara will be releasing a reissue of Fortress Maximus this year?
Id say less than 10% as id think something would have slipped out by now as something as big ( Physically and desirability wise) would be nigh on impossible to keep under wraps for long and that added to a global economy thats not close to recovery let alone a full one makes the odds very long on a release any time soon.
Same as any other year, pretty darn low.
Little to none.
I heard somewhere that he can't be reissued due to current toy safety laws, something about him being too big and capable of crushing a 2 yr old. Can't remember where I heard this from though.
anyways.....The Main reason that he cant be re-issued is because he failed the drop test and from then on thats why we cant get him....or so Takara/Hasbro says.
Thats an interesting response, you swear at everything you read?
here's a post (number 10) that combines both our theories:
The drop test is why he'll never be reissued in the US - different laws in Japan.
I would say 0% with a side order of not a chance. I do wish they would though. A lot of people would love to have that mold in their collection for a decent price, minty fresh and complete no less. But I don't see it happening, not anytime soon anyway.
It's not that. It's a drop test. And no they don't drop it on kids.
Because he's so large if he drops and breaks, pieces can chip off that can be sharp or choking hazards.
I remember where I heard it now, it was a youtube review (Peaugh's I think), though he may have been joking about it crushing a kid.
Pretty low for 2010, as they're focusing their efforts more on Season 3-based things (Dead MP Prime, hopefully MP Rodimus, etc.)
If the Headmaster gimmick makes the full resurgence it seems to be starting on at the moment, I'm sure it'll tempt TakTomy more into doing it. Won't be happening this year though.
Certainly made me laugh.
Nah, not all the time, just that your theory at the time was quite funny and yet confusing, lol.
Now that ive rewatched Peaugh's review, I can certainly say that it was quite funny
I am thinking the best (and that ain't saying much) chance of getting a reissue FM is if Takara or some Korean company KO'ed it.
and it would be treated no differently than the G1 Megatrons we have been getting.
it could be imported over and sold via TFSource and BBTS.
the fact still remains that you can't keep a toy like this under wraps for long, so no word on the street tells you what you need to know.
Dang, beat me to it, right down to saying 0%. Anywho, safety issues are completely irrelevant to the real bottom line; it won't come out due to pricing, with box size not helping any either.
I doubt it, but apparently the ko company that does the high quality ko's is doing Max....
