I am not as in tune with newer transformers as a lot of you so I want to know this because it's been bugging me to death. Why is the Steamhammer toy a joke in tf circles?

 

To me it sounds like a porn star name >_>

 

I think it's one of those jokes you have to think about in a dirty way...

 

I wasn't even aware there was a joke.....

 

I've never heard people joking about the name. But if people ar making fun of his name, it might be because they have a dirty mind and are reading more into it, or because he's a bulldozer, and one of his drones is a steamroller and the name is ironic.

 

Ah there are much better names than Steamhammer. He doesn't even come close to the awesomeness that is Erector & Windbreaker...

Urban dictionary has the WEIRDEST descriptions for slang sometimes. I can barely relate the name to what it's supposed to mean. Maybe the joke just isn't for me.

I was thinking more the toy. I seem to remember a few months ago people couldn't give the toy away. The name is pretty hilarious though haha

 

Could've been worse. They could have named him Jackhammer, or Genetichammer.

 

So funny, and yet, so wrong.

 

Well, if you think about many of the TF names, you will find something dirty or at the very least amusing about them, hehe. I was with my gf then at the mall and while I was looking at the TF figures on the shelf, she saw Thrust and laughed.
