its one and the same. hot rod is rodimus. hasbro cant use the hot rod name due to licensing/copyright issues so they named it alternators rodimus.

Kiss play Rodimus is a red Mirage with a different head (bright red with white racing stripes). Alternators Rodimus is much more a Hot Rod homage. With flames and the magenta coloured body.

I'd love someone to release dual arm blasters for him.

The SDCC exclusive has a metallic finish on it, though the image they used for the topic was not the real one.

I agree. I have been looking for a KISS Rodimus for a while. They come up on ebay occasionally, but you will need to pay at least around £70 for one in OK condition. Hell, Alt Mirage is almost impossible to find for £40!

KISS Rodimus is very difficult to get right now. I think that Kapow have a second hand one in good condition and with box for £80.

I seem to recall that you can fit the exhausts from Cybertron Clocker/Swerve onto Alt Hot Rod.

^^^ yup, no mod needed. just take off clocker's exhausts and there should be a slot for the exhausts pegs on alt rodimus' arms.

oh, on the arms, that's pretty cool then [pics please, i'd like to see how this is done/how it looks before i pick up a Rodimus]. can KP Hot Rodimus also do this or is this a subtle mold change for the SDCC Rodimus release?
