Hasbro never owned the Jetfire mold, the toy was licensed from Bandai.

molds over time degrade and cant be used anymore, i believe the recent KO version of him was reverse engineered? i could be wrong on that. and bandai licensed the jetfire mold and only they can use it not hasbro so would be up to them if they cared to issue him again or not

Bandai owns the mold but Hasbro owns the deco. G1 jetfire will never be released again. Wheeljack is lost to time its either vintage or ko if you want one

As for Jetfire, it's not like there aren't 10,000 different versions of transformable Valkyries to paint....
