Well, when it was announced many people made fun of the figure. This lead to many people not ordering it. It was still available for a while but suddenly sold out. Now the majority of the people who didn't get him in the first place want one now. Luckily I wasn't one of them and got him went he came out.
Didn't want it then, don't want it now. Now if they did say MP-05 with a trailer/Armor I would be all over that!
I wish that were so... But more likely we'll get MP-05 Magnus with regular Convoy trailer and no Roller!!! Yay!!!
I want one now too. Never really ruled him out but wasn't that big on the idea. After seeing classics Magnus I think I may have a little Magnus group set up when I get everything back out and displayed again, so I'd kind of need to have that big guy in there.
I want one and I paid through the nose to get it unfortunately. Originally, I thought it was just a Convoy/Optimus Prime and I didn't want to waste the money since I already had the first Masterpiece. Now, with MP-3 and MP-4 coming out, and I plan on getting both, my collection would look a bit silly without MP-2 in my eyes. Not a logical reason but it bugs me nonetheless.
How desperate are you guys for international shipping? There's a few around here collecting dust on target shelves for $89AUD. Of course a few have been opened from sitting there for so long, but there might be one or two left sealed.
Like some of the others on here, I am glad I got mine when it first hit. Actually, that is one of a handful of figures I have imported. He looks great in my Magnus collection!
I picked up my MP Magnus for like $120 Canadian when it first came out as he was pretty undesirable at the time as we were hearing a lot of the usual rants from the fandom of how he sucked and was just a quicky repaint to make money (damn those Takara bastards ). But ya, I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that this gem really fell through the cracks first time around and now that he's been sold out for quite a wile now and people are starting to go back and re-examine this guy the cost of him has really climbed, especially recently I've noticed.
Truth be told- 1) that one is a little old 2) Gotta thank Alphie for that one, she took the pic. That is most of my Magnus collection, however.
