I really didn't know where to put this post, but I hope here works. My question is, Whats the best way to open a carded Transformer? Reason I ask is because when I finish some kitbashes, I might want to put them back in package. Is there any really efficient way of doing this. I been just cutting them out with a razor knife carefully. Its just the closer you get to the card the more damage that is possible. Is there a way to maybe unset the glue that seals the figure. I really don't think there is, but if there is the members of this forum would know.

I've heard a hair-dryer -might- work, but it depends.

Well the hair dryer is out of the question. It starts to warp the plastic and even tears the card a bit. Once that plastic warps to much it damn near impossible to get it back the way it was.

Enough steam to loosen the glue would probably destroy the card.

There really isn't a perfect way of doing this, otherwise a lot of people would be doing it already. Plus you'd have a big problem with stuff "MOSC" that was actually put back and re-sealed, which isn't a problem.

Usually just use a razor and cut around the bottom and 2 sides (all but the top)

Too much trouble the other way and it still looks mosc when I put them back. Plus I like the outer bubbe to stay glued on top so I can just pull the insert out without having to worry about the whole outer bubble falling off.

This has been opened a million times and still looks pretty sealed

I had one fellow collector swear by using rubbing alcohol and soacking the package in it. I've tried it with limited success. It takes a very long time to loosen/ disolve the glue, plus there is also a chance that it can cloud the card.
