I was just wondering what was the best site to order CHMS stuff from. I was looking at getting a bunch of good stuff on clearance from KO Toys since they are shutting down soon, but I've heard so many horror stories from them so I am very wary of sending them my money. What other good sites sell CHMS bots?

I get them from ebay sellers d0tm and riflescopeshop, who are both fronts from a seller named ii-toy.com. They carry CHMS products.

I have never seen ANYONE other than KOtoys sell KO SG Rodimus. I've seen KO Henkei Wildrider on ebay, but there is nothing there right now.

iitoy and ioffer has them, but they charge a lot.

Ioffer has SG Rodimus, but it costs a lot.

I'm glad I bought that KO Henkei Wildrider for $20 when it first appeared on ebay a couple months ago.

With KO toys supposedly winding down, i wouldn't be surprised if it pops up elsewhere.

To me,the design of the packaging of SG Rodimus is plain looking.

It's got original character art - that's rather more effort than you usually get.

I can put you on the list and let you know once they get here. Also have Dino Cassettes, Ghost Coneheads, and a FEW BotCon Mirages coming.

Ah, good to know. I'd be a little wary of this fellow too though - I bought a Solar Storm Grapple + a KO from him a few months back, and asked for the $30 shipping overcharge to be refunded - he just got belligerent.

This week, I asked d0tm (not knowing it's the same guy) for a shipping quote for some JB Headmasters - and he sent me a nice, snarky reply. *sigh*

I know there's a fair amount of tools' on eBay - but in a limited KO seller marketplace, it's disappointing to find there's even less options for honest sellers. :(

ha i nearly had a worse guy

bought rid scourge and galvatron from a guy a few years back
as we finalize the deal, he tells me its cr black convoy, and rid megs actually. i say fine
$50 for the figures, ok fine
shipping from PA to MD (1 state over)... $40???
he tells me its the cheapest... yea right

i was like, oh hell no, give me the box size and weight and ill make you a fedex label and came to about 15 for shipping

box arrives, its literally both figures [misb] in a bigger box.. nothing else
no packaging, no peanuts, not even newspapers.

then again, that wasnt the worst... 6 months of dealing with billstoysandgames was HELL

I've learned the hard way to not trust in Paypal's Buyer Protection when shopping on non-eBay sites. If the seller allows payment from Credit Cards (handled through Paypal, to keep your info safe) - buyer protection doesn't apply. It's only if it's via eBay, or the seller allows purchases from a Paypal balance.

I had to do a chargeback on my card for a box from tvshirtsonline that never arrived.

The problem I had with riflescope / d0tm on eBay stemmed from the fact overseas eBay sellers use a variety of tricks to keep their costs down, and profits higher. Setting the currency items are purchased in GBP (UK Pound confuses people who don't always check it against XE.com, particularly when double checking shipping costs printed on the box), along side listing a higher shipping amount with a lower bid.

I'd won items at a fair price, and had a promise of a shipping difference refund - that the guy renagged on after things were processed.

I have friends living in China, and others who are Korea and travel there often. It's a hard life for people - most university grads are reduced to selling cheap electronics items online, or in the larger cities, or factory work. I understand why they'd be so ruthless.

However, when it comes to selling to a specific fandom, sellers (whever they're from) need to be careful to be above-board with their dealings. One too many negative comments in online forums, and people get (rightly!) scared off. I can't fathom how much money kotoys.com has lost from horror stories online.
