What's the best figure that's Minicon-compatible? (Besides Unicron)

I might be getting the Minicon 12-pack soon and I wanted to get a decent figure to go with them. What figure would you recommend that has decent Minicon attachment points?

Vector Prime is a great fig with attachement ports but I can't recall at the moment how many he has....

    For the 10-pack?

Bad timing, there's what? 6 beast Microns in it? They have the worst, most useless attachment points. There's not really a figure that'll look good with a Triceratops just hanging off of it.

Energon Omega Supreme or Sentinel would look decent with the Military Microns attached to it.

Zomg. I have Vector Prime! Got him on a NY vacation earlier this year. Hmmm........

Looking at him now, and from my understanding of what a Minicon connection port looks like, it seems that he has one on each forearm, hip, and one on the nosecome of his jet(but it looks to only fit the one minicon he came with).

Cool. Any others? I might just get one more figure for my Minicons.

    Armada Tidal Wave

I always thought that was a good figure for mini-cons.

Not the 10-pack, the 12-pack! The first one that came out last year. I think they are repaints of all the 3-packs that originally came out(the "teams").

Armada Red Alert has a good amount of Minicon ports. One on his back, one on each should, one on his chest to activate the disk firing gimmick, and there is a flip out panel on his left leg that can hold a minicon.

I'd say either Prime or Tidal Wave for Armada toys, and Metroplex or Primus for Cybertron toys.

Just watched a video review for Red Alert. Was he recenty repainted? Maybe a TRU exclusive? He looks really familiar. Hmm. Looks really awesome. I'm a sucker for this minicon gimmick thing. Cat wait to get some of these guys. :D

I've found that Universe Dropshot and Heavy Load work well with mini-cons. (repaints of Cybertron CD Scattorshot and Cybertron Quickmix respectively). Heavy load even comes with his own minicon. They each have a few connection points...nothing spectacular, but you have the ability to attach some of the weapon mini-cons to them, and still use their cyber key gimmicks.

As for other figures that actually interact with minicons, I agree that Red Alert is one of the better Armada toys for this, aside from Megs/ Galvy and OP. You could probably find TFTM Inferno (a repaint of Red Alert) for less than an Armada one, so you might want to look for that. Armada Tidal Wave also has a plethora of connection points. Many of the Energon toys also have mini-con ports as well, so even if they don't activate anything, you can still attach them.

    Armada Overload.

    Cybertron Metroplex.

Maybe Cybertron Menasor? I don't have him so I can't say for sure.

Vector Prime has only three ports.
One on each forearm, and one on his back, though Safeguard's the only one that fits well.

    Ebay:
Armada Unicron = 27 (but 3 are hard to use + 2 minicon compartment in leg)
Armada Megatron = 14 (plus one you can cram in his leg grinder)
Armada Tidal Wave = 11 (2 for ramjet are useless though)

    Optimus Prime + Trailer + Overload = 14
    Optimus Prime + Jetfire + Overload = 13
Overload = 8 (6 if you don't count rollout and rollout's minicon port)
    Optimus Prime + Trailer = 6
    Optimus Prime + Jetfire = 4
(add one if you include the port on jetfire's gun)

Cybertron Metroplex = 10 (some are hard to use)
Cybertron Primus = 7 (only the two on the arm look good though. You might be able to squeeze two more on those plastic things in his leg)
Cybertron Defense Red Alert = 4 (you have to flip up his leg guards)

    Relatively Common Repaints
    Energon Unicron
    Armada Galvatron
Energon Tidal Wave, Micron Legend Shockwave
Armada Powerlinx Prime, Armada Gold Kmart Prime, Armada Costco Mustard Prime
    Armada Powerlinx Jetfire, TFCC Astrotrain
Energon Ultra Magnus, Armada Costco Mustard Overload
    Universe Countdown

There's a good load of aircraft in that pack, so Tidal Wave would be a good choice.
