The Sea of Red/Blue Trucks (CW Prime) and White/Red Aircraft (CW Silverbolt) along with Voyage AOE Grimlock, well It's doesn't like TMNT in my area is pegwarm very badly.
As of this posting my local Wally World has the following shelfwarmers. 2 CW Silverbolts 1 CW Optimus Prime 2 CW Leader Armada Megatrons 1 CW Leader G1 Tank Megs 4 RID15 Deluxe Optimus Prime 4 RID15 Deluxe Bumblebee A Few other RID15 Deluxes A handful of RID15 Legion Class figs And that is it,been that way for months now,no wave 2 or beyond CW's since before Christmas 2014,so 10 months with nothing,I hate to say it but unless both Hasbro and Walmart hurry up and do something they are gonna wind up going under, this has been the worst TF drought I have seen in years I swear.
Yes, it's awful. I hate seeing this crap every time I go to the store. My TRU is this way, and my Target not much better. At least Target manages to get some CW stuff in and out with some regularity. Wal-Mart is always a plain disaster. A big mess of beat-up half-opened packages. I almost never go to Wal-Mart anymore.
in my local target there's a 2 pack of Energon Grimlock and AOE Grimlock, and a few of the non transforming 12 inch AOE figures, and 1-2 CW Mini figures. TRU has some of the RID small figures and Armada Megs, and that's pretty much it. Transformers in my area are pretty scarce
AOE Leader Grimlock Legends Thundercracker RiD One Step Waves 2, 3, & 4 This all my walmart has, they don't restock from what I have seen on shelves. If I want to go TF hunting I have to go an hour to two hours away.
Bayverse TFs are stubbornly clinging to the shelves 1 Steps Rollbar and Prowl Rat Trap Hero Mashers Optimus, Star Scream and Soundwave RiD Fixit, Steeljaw, Bumblebee and Strongarm Tiny Titan RiD Blind Bags Hell even the Rescue Bots are bought faster then some of these toys.
So is it too early for CW and RID? I bumped this thread to see how everyone else is doing. Beast Wars don't move here well. That Rhinox wave feels like it's been since forever and has gone through probably a dozen sale. No one wants them. Same goes for those Shark guys but it feels like TRU got target's overstock or something. We got flooded by them. None of them actually move and with multiple sales. CW gets still gets restocked with wave 1 in comparison to RID which has completely moved on to their more recent waves. CW moves slower especially in the voyager dept. RID has no voyagers but huge one steps never stay in the shelves and has moved on to the nice looking prime wave.
Nothing is - but that's because stores seem to refuse to stock anything out in my area. At best we have a dearth of wave 1 and 2 RiD toys (lots of Strongarms and Grimlocks) but nothing else. Targets around here have dedicated a whopping total of 4 pegs to Transformers.
Having been shopping for tfs latley, but last time I did, nearly every store in my area had droves of rattraps, Hasbro should really stop with beast wars characters Also, I still have dotm/prime bumblebee flashbacks "shudders"
That's a pity, I really like that one. Around here it's pretty much everything that's not CW. The pegs are full, I never see stock change, even at clearance, meanwhile the CW pegs are usually empty, or may have one random stunticon or something. Armada Megs though... just sitting there chillin' like a villain. Also there is one Walmart that for some reason has dozens of CW Optimus Primes. I don't think anyone (but me) bought them since they always seem to have the same amount.
Milage really must vary between places, because I honestly can't say I ever saw the Beast Wars characters just sitting around other than Rattrap, and that makes me sad because I love the guy.. Rhinox, and Waspinator were always down to one or two. Sky-Byte, while technically not a Beast Wars character, he is still a beast and is a Predacon, I only ever saw him once and regret not picking him up ever since. Always see plenty of CW Powerglide, Silverbolt, Armada Megatron, and RID figures just sitting around here.
