Is this thread too soon? Probably.

But after the filming for TF3 started I have been thinking. Will the Movie forum shut down after the Bay movies?

 

I wouldnt miss it; though I appreciate that there was a place to discuss the movies, it was over shadowed by the abundance of useless threads that ranged from: Where is Barricade?, what if "spoilers", and so on

 

Probably just file it away along with the Animated subforum *shrug*

 

Disapear until the reboot is annouced.

 

It'll be filed away like the Animated forum was. Activity will drop once all is said and done with the films, and the announcement thread that says this forum will close will erupt in an argument with a movie troll and movie fans.

Just saying, did some digging lately.

I don't think it should be shut down. The movies are a much bigger part of Transformers than Animated, which was just one in a line of cartoons. The films will always be drawing in new fans and there will be much for discussion long after the third one has gone. Besides, there probably will be more Transformers flicks after TF3 (providing we live through 2012, haha), reboot or whatever.

i think the forum will go on. there's a possibility that more tf movies will be made. I know that bay said tf3 is the last one but money talks. They said the same thing about potf frachise now there is goin to be afourth film. so who knows?

 

Most likely the Movie Discussion will disappear without a trace, leaving us to use the TF General Discussion if we want to talk general stuff about Bay's movies.

Maybe, if there's a reboot in the future, the Movie Discussion will come back. Otherwise, expect it to disappear once everything's all said and done after Transformers 3 gets released onto DVD after its theatrical run.

And I would assume that if there is another movie after TF3, Bay or someone else, they would fire up the forum again or create a new one.

Until then, I'm sure there'd be a point where the TF General Discussion would fit just fine for the occasional TF fan who signs up because of the movie.

Gone baby gone...soo soo gone!

 

mostly gone a year after TF3.

 

I hope it doesn't go away, just because the movies will be gone doesn't mean we still don't discuss them. Just like the animated forum, the cartoon series may be gone but we still discuss it. Just seems like jamming everything into the general discussion forum would be massive overload in one section of the forum.
Now that we are getting a new cartoon though (Transformers Prime) will the animated forum come back. (Of course meaning the animated forum was for all things animated about the transformers and not just the series Transformers Animated)

 

All of these posts... will be lost... like tears, in the rain...


Basically, it'll be just like what happened with Energon, Animated, etc. The entire forum will disappear, and discussion will occur in TFGD instead. It's a system that's worked pretty well in the past, and it'll likely be what the mods choose to continue doing.

Considering the amount of movie related threads that get created in TFGD anyway and get moved, it might make the modding easier.
