Every so often, i'll see a listing for a toy that says General Assortment..

Can anyone tell me what that means?

Has anyone tried ordering a general assortment?

    Thanks for any help

Someone here might know this, but if you can provide an example, that might help the answer come a little quicker.

well for example, there's an item. let's say transformers classics assortment item

I tried calling the store and they said it means you can get any item..

I'm not sure if the customer service person knew what they were talking about though because they seemed a bit clueless at first.

I'm gonna guess that means that it's an action figure from the main line. Like not a FAB or Cyberslammer, but just a normal Movie figure (or Classics, or whatever). For example, I know that Movie deluxes at Target have a DPCI for the whole assortment, not the individual figures.

General assortment means just that; while it's only one listing, there's a different assortment of toys/figures/whatever that have that same listing.

It's just like squirrelcar said; the DCPI for all Deluxe TFs is the same and is listed as "ASSORTMENT" or something similar.

It's kinda crappy if you're looking for a specific figure, but it's easier to keep inventory that way.
