Blade Runner and John Carpenter's The Thing are the obvious 1-2. Not just the two best of the year, but two of the best ever.

Then First Blood and Fast Times. Conan is a lot of fun. The rest, I could live without.

ET, Blade Runner, and The Thing are brilliant. Poltergeist and Tootsie are quite good too. Although I'm not a fan of court movies, I really enjoyed watching The Verdict. I was never really fond of Tron too much, though.

I was 1 year old. This is a bizarre thread.

Of all those movies I've only see ET, Star Trek 2 and The Last Unicorn. And although I haven't seen it in a long time, I remembering loving The Last Unicorn when I was a kid.

Gotta love the Steven Spielberg sense of wonder.
