I keep wondering what exactly they can do now that they've created the most elusive and mythical character into the ultimate toy. I mean, unless they remake Fortress Maximus the same size but with uber-articulation, what else can they do to really impress us? Or does that even matter?

They can give us G1 toys all over again, except this time around, with Alternators-like detail and articulation! And rather than making us spend tons of money on really BIG toys (which would probably be just as effective and fun as a smaller size class), make the entire line nothing but Deluxe and Mega/Voyager size-class!

...oh wait, they ARE doing that.

I seriously doubt the new G1 line will have alternators level detail, but they'll likely be better articulated.

Yeah the Neo G1 line (for me mind you) is above and beyond anything they've done thus far. Though I guess they could have some sort of Leige maximo toy, but I don't think thats nearly as sought after and recognizeable as say Unicron or Primus.

Engineering-wise, I would really be impressed if Takara/Hasbro could pull off a well articulated combiner. The Energon combiners were a step in the right direction. I would gladly fork over $120 for 6x Voyager sized Constructicons that could combine to form a nice Devestator. Yeah I know, unlikely but a fanboy can dream.

Yes, I would love to see a Liege Maximo figure or Jhiaxus for that matter.

Imagine. The detail of an alternator fused together with the ability to combine them to form an ultimate being *drooling commences*.

I like the combiner idea but it would take a lot of work. dont know how maximo would work out. I am one who would actually like the montrous figure to be available it looks so nice on iaconcity. Maybe have a transformer that is articulated and big and that can actually fit a gi size figure inside the cockpit. That would rock

Yeah I would LOVE a rebooted Trypticon. The combiner idea is pretty cool, I just wouldn't neccessarily want to see it in Alternators. They'd really have to sacrifice a lot of the realism in the alt modes, and I also wouldn't want excess pieces that couldn't be integrated into the car mode...though if they could pull it off well and made an alternator combiner that was stable I'd love it.

I would be happy with the combiners, but I would really like MP versions of Metroplex, Trypticon, Fort Max and Scroponok. Metroplex and Trypticon could be Supremes, and Fort Max and Scorpy could be da big guys who cost $50. This way, they would fit into the G1 neo line, and they wouldnt have to make Prime and Megs the $40 ones, but $25ish ones, and the city bots would be huge. I know its very unlikely, but it would be awsome.

    My votes go for...

    Deluxe size combiner team.
    New Trypticon or Metroplex
    Liege Maximo
    Sentinel Prime?

Hell, Hasbro could invent a third planet-former. Sort of like a third faction type thing. And it could be a giant ship instead of a planet.

or full-on triple changer modernized either! I'd LOVE to see them pull THAT off as well as an articulated combiner or modern city-former.

    Andy

PS we still don't have an alpha trion either :p

I would love to see an updated version of Devastator with the Constructicons being in either the deluxe size or the voyager size class. Or an Alpha Trion would be sweet.

Hmm, how about an Ark with city mode? complete with WSTs?
Dunno if you could do a robot mode though.
