I'm wanting to get a Revoltech figure, but I'm not sure which to get. I'd like to get one that is of a giant Gundam-esc style, but it doesn't have to be Gundam. I like the angular/panely/sharp aesthetic.

If you have a suggestion could you post a pic or link to pic?

Also, what is the best site or a good site to buy Revoltechs?

My bias answer? Cattleya, she's my favorite ever.

Unbias? Whatever you like, if you're into the sci-fi line, Gamera, Jack Skellington, the Xenomorph, Buzz and Batman are great. Gurren Lagann has some amazing ones, depends on what ya want.

From what you described up there, the Revoltech Blade Liger pretty much fits, it's pretty big, sharp corners everywhere and it isn't Gundam.

You mean Jack Skellington, Buzz Lightyear, and BATMAN? we're talking about the same characters, right?

Anyway, if you're looking for Gundam-ish, I think there are some Macross/Robotech figures floating around.

The best I've handled are the two Trigun ones, Vash and Wolfwood, followed closely by Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune of Sengoku Basara. Those guys I actually like.

I've avoided most of the super-robot ones because I'm honestly not a fan of their retro aesthetic, but the odd few that I've owned otherwise have pretty much disappointed me at every turn, barring Gurren Lagann. And even then, its rubbery-ness can be off-putting in places.

Yeah, at first I thought the first post was stating he didn't want something Gundam-ish, which is why I recommended the Blade Liger.

Haha, I call him Buzz, but yeah, Buzz Lightyear.

I'm looking for something that resembles a cross between Armored Core and Gundam I think. Do they make Armored Core Revoltechs? I like the super robot aesthetics, but I think that the Gurren Lagann look too cartoony for my taste.

Is one better than the other? For around $40 with shipping I want to get the one with the most pose/accessory value.

I honestly liked them both the same. They're both pretty damn posable, and come with a few accessories. When I'm about to buy a revoltech figure, I usually check reviews of them on youtube, only if I'm buying the figure based on its looks. If I'm getting a Revvy because I'm already a fan of the figure's background, I jump on it. For example, Aliens, I love em, and will buy any Revvys they make of them.

Depends on how sturdy you want the figures to be, most of the Patlabor figures are pretty sturdy and has nice aesthetics, but my favorite would have to be Danboard :D  Oh and professor Layton :)

I have both of those figures and I would definately recommend them! If you can only get one, go for the Laevatein because it comes with more accessories.

I will also echo the sentiments that the Patlabor ones are nice (go with the movie style Ingram) and the Trigun figures are cool too.
