i dont know if i posted this on the right place but oh well HE IS AWESOME in the last option i typed head, Can any mode fix that and change it to heard?
Garfield hasn't been funny for at least 15 years now. Pretty much when Jim Davis decided to pawn off all the work on his studio lackeys.
well, ive seen garfield as far back as i remember. i like the comics but the 90s cartoon... i changed the channel out of boredom.
I remember watching "Garfield and Friends" as a kid. Man, I loved that show! I saw the newer, computer animation Garfield series they are showing on Cartoon Network. Meh...
This. The handful of tv specials and the old Garfield and friends show were good, but I have just stayed away from the movies and new stuff.
I definitely can't stand most of the new stuff these days, but it's ironic because all of this new stuff makes me appreciate the older stuff more.
I don't get all the hate for the Live action movies,I thought Bill Murray was good as Garfield,Guess i didn't grow up with the old garfield like you guys did.
Interesting question. I liked the first several years of strips, but it got unfunny starting around the mid-90's. However, the 90's cartoon was friggin' brilliant; a really fun show. I'm actually re-watching the DVD sets as I post this. Incidentally, is anyone interested in purchasing the Klopman Diamond?
It is not that movies are horrible. I mean they have Bill Murray as the voice and Jennifer Love Hewitt as a decent distraction, but it is just not the same. Plus I can't get over how he looks compared to all the other 'real' animals.
I didn't grow up with the old Garfield, but I used t think he was okay. Nowadays I don't really think about it all that often.
Garfield, to me, is an 80s thing. he was awesome then. he's just not a new era character. he's like Hi and Lois, or Family Circle, just doesn't seem to fit with today's culture all that well.
Older Garfield strips were pretty good. Nowadays, Davis seems to recycle the jokes, though he pulls a good one every now and then. I loved the 90's cartoon as a kid, I might revisit it sometime to see how it's aged. The live action movies, bleh. The only good part was getting Bill Murray to voice him (incidentally, the guy who voiced Garfield in the show was also the voice of Venkman in the Ghostbusters cartoon). Garfield Minus Garfield comics are hilarious! And OP, I think you need to start making your polls as a "choose one" option as opposed to "choose however many you like". It really screws your results.
