    2007. I saw the movie, watched G1, loved it, watched Animated, REALLY loved it and now I am a proud member of the TF fandom.

    Ah to feel young.

    Was a fan of Beast Wars when I was a kid.

    Lost interest until movie. Became a fan again, and now know quite a bit more about Transformers than is healthy. Own every G1 episode. Kind of regret buying them, though there are a few gems.

    So... either 1999 or 2007.

    Really didn't get into Transformers until 2007 with the live action movie.

    AHH..... It was about late 1983 or early 84. I just started high school (don't laugh young ones) I saw the cartoon on t.v. and I was hooked!! At the time I didn't have my own $$$ so I had to ask mom for it. Sadly the very first TF was lost. Anyway fast forward to mid 85 and then I started to buy with my own $$. When I got married my coool wife bought me my very first combiner for a anniversary gift. My journey through TF world has and continues to be fun now that I have good friends like all of you guys and gals to share my stories. See you all on the movie lines and toy stores.

    1984 when I watched the original toon. Got my first Transformer toy in the beginning of 1985 when my parents thought I was old enough. I remember being so bad at putting on the stickers. Now my collection is huge and I don't have enough room for them all.

    1996- My first hobby since coming to the U.S.

    In 2001, I stopped for a while since there was no TF toon on basic TV. Didn't have cable back then.

    In 2005, I got back into TF watching and collecting.
