Just browsing though the SCIV board and there was talk about guys waiting in line. Well, this lead me to wonder, what games would, or did you guys wait in line for? Anything that stands out for a game that you wanted so bad you waited in a line two days early for?

I waited in line for Halo 3 at a small and isolated Gamestop. It wasnt crowded, or overpacked and it was a generally nice night to just hang out with a bunch of gaming enthusiasts.

Next I waited in line for GTA IV, luckly I didnt have to wait long and the crowd for that wasnt as cool as the Halo 3 one.

If, and I mean it's a big if, Volition Inc made a Freespace 3. I'd go early to be the first one to claim the game.

 

None. In fact, I can't remember the last time I even bought a game within a few months of its launch date except for Space Invaders Extreme.

i almost skipped work the day Hideo was in london though, but i hate queues and like getting paid...

 

Nothing. I even went to a Halo 2 midnight launch and just skipped the line.

 

I wouldnt wait in line for anything. Theres always more than enough copies of everything. Ive never seen any game or movie be completely sold out anywhere. Of course the Wii has been in short supply, but those that know me would know that I would never wait in line for a Wii. Hell, Ive only preordered a game like twice and both times I felt dumb for doing so, knowing full well that I could just walk in the day of release and get it then. Oh wait, I take it back. I did wait for the TF DVD release but thats because of the exclusive DVD it came with.

 

Never waited in line for any game. Never plan too.

hmmmmm. Well I wouldn't wait in line... but in theory, if your question is, what game would be worthy of me waiting in line..... Probably a true sequel to Phantasy Star, which is a moot point because there would be no line.

 

I waited out in line for Halo 2 (not worth it), Rockband (not entirely worth it), and the Wii (somewhat worth it).

I waited out in line on launch day for 10 hours for the Wii.

I would wait out in line if there was a need to. Maybe for the next system launches, but I don't really see needing to do that for any games.

 

Ooh yeah, and I waited in line for the new Iphone two weeks ago

 

Dreamcast, Halo 3, Sonic 2 (but it was at 9 am -not midnight), GTA4, Playstation 2, a romantic kiss from Windcharger, and will prolly wait in line for Gears of War 2.

I would wait in line for Mercenaries 2: World In Flames but I will just go into Best Buy on my lunch hour and pick it up instead.

 

The only lines I wait in are the ones at the cash registers at stores.

The only way you'd get me to stand in line for anything else is if it were free.
