I'm all for it, you can never get enough of TFs either on the big or small screen. It would be awesome if they did some like the IDW Spotlight issues.

Also it would be nice to give some semlance of a story to stuff like Universe/Generations rather than just being a bunch of seemingly random bots drawn from mutiple continuities.

Throw in stuff like Powercore Combiners, Alternity/Binaltech, potential crossovers and the possibilities are nearly endless!

I think this would do well and is the most logical to produce.

I love the threads where people come up with a desirable conclusion and then work backwards in an attempt to support it.

I'd definitely be interested in a Classics TV movie or direct to home video special. I'm surprised that they have so little supporting media for the series, even IDW barely seem to acknowledge Classics designs (Jetfire in Stormbringer is the only major one I recall hearing about).

I don't see why it could never happen. But that's not to say it ever would.
I think if it did they'd be written in such a way to be easily broken up into episode-length chunks for airing on The Hub as well. Like the first five episodes of TF: Prime are essentially a short movie when put together, but if it had happened the other way around and come out on DVD as a short movie first and been designed to be broken up and made as episodes of a short series to run for a week. Like how individual comics are written for the TPB these days. Means you can easily sell them twice just by chopping them apart at pre-designed places.

    Lets see.....

    Marvel Animation

From 2006 to current brought in $39,260,486 and 2,880,507 unit sold in US

    DC Universe Animated Original Movies

From 2007 to current brought in $62,554,778 and 4,017,677 unit sold in US

And With DC's "All Star Superman", "Green Lantern: Emerald Knights", "Batman: Year One" And Marvel's "Thor" all releasing this year. Neither party is showing any signs of slowing down.

Long story short, there is a market for D2V so whether Hasbro want's to hop aboard that money train is up to them. But if I know Hasbro they're likely to stick with there HUB shows and milk them for whatever they're worth for now.

But I'd personally support them day one of release if they did though.

it seems anything good with the transformers name attached to it will sell. there isnt that much transformers out there right now to buy on dvd.

its a great brand and parents nowadays are familiar with it because they grew up with it so how could you go wrong?

I was thinking about sending them an email and gathering some of the ideas that came up in this thread. But when I click at "Viewer Relations" they ask questions about your area and stuff, and I'm not an US citizen so I guess that's probably not the right way to contact them. Does anyone have an idea where I might get an email-address where I just could write them an email?

I think that might be the best way to see if they have any interest in doing so.

I don't expect them to go like "Whoa boy, great idea, we're doing it as soon as possible" :lol  But I just want to see if there is any interest from their side to such an idea! :)

Well this makes perfect sense. If you consider that DCU theatrical movies have been mostly better received than Marvel ones, sale of direct videos of each type is bound to be directly (oops) related. Put it all together, I believe that Batman, Superman, Watchmen, Sin City, etc were way bigger pictures than Spider-Man, Iron Man, Punisher, X-Men, etc.
