I voted for both. However, I only want more characters IF they actually have a purpose. I don't want a new character for the sake of having a new character.

 

I like the outnumbered Autobot angle.

Just not when they're outnumbered by a few named Decepticons and a million generics.

So, Decepticons gets my vote.

 

Not really. Rather than wishing for more characters on each side, I prefer if they work with and try to expand what characters they have already, rather than coming up with tons of plotlines to hold together. It's not wasting a vote if you believe in what you voted for.

 

Decepticons. Not only more of them but used more often. Sometimes it feels like it's been so long since a character was used I almost forget that someone like Soundwave is a part of the show.

While I'd like to see more Autobots to shake up the team dynamic a bit it already seems too easy for the Autobots to win each week so adding more powerful robots to pound generic bad guys might not be exciting.

i'd like to see more to both sides... although, i do think it would be intresting for the decepticons to slowly whittle down to just megatron and soundwave.

 

We need another Wheeljack or Drugged up Ratchet. A character that is NOT a part of the big happy family of Team Prime, and maybe isn't afraid to call Optimus out on his shit. It is an incredibly missed opportunity because everyone in Team Prime gets along perfectly, with conflict only arising when Optimus isn't there.

Beast Wars and Animated both had conflict between protagonists and it was great. I finished G.I. Joe Renegades a few weeks ago and it had some good teammate squabbles as well. It just makes the Autobots seem lacking in personality when everyone gets along perfectly.

 

They got intense with each other in Orion Pax part 1 when they were starting to get snippy with each other about the lack of Optimus around.There's also Arcee's little rant about Starscream's little "help" in Crossfire too not to mention Optimus calling Arcee out about revenge in Partners and her trying to jusitifyed it. There's quite a bit of that acutally so they aren't really getting along pefectly. That and we may see flashbacks later on about them not getting along together as easly.

Besides the Dinobots are very likely to apepar later on which means if Grimlock does follow his FOC character he'll do more then just poit out Optimus he'll challange him for leadership.

 

We need a new Autobot more since their roster has yet to change since episode 1.

 

No more new characters until we get some better character development for the cast members the show already has. Focus on making them more interesting rather just taking the easy "these characters are boring, so let's just throw new characters at the series" way out. Hell, if the writers can't handle characterization for a cast of ~5 TFs per faction, how bad is it going to get if the number of regulars per side goes up to 10 or more?

And I realize people want to see every character from G1 through Animated get a version in Prime, but what's the point if they're going to be as thin and underdeveloped as the cast the show already has?

 

This. Though I really think Arcee and Ratchet are pretty well developed in my opinon. However I do like to see Bulkhead's backstory fleashed out such as his past friendship with Breakdown,Wheeljack's thoughts on becoming a team player again,and we do need a lot more devlepment for Optimus and Bumblbee becuase they still have a way to go.

For the Decepticons I think Megatron's almost pretty developed himself,though I want to see more of Soundwave's character and escpially for Dreadwing since he's has the most intresting poteintal to be a really deep character if done well. Starscream's pretty developed himself.


Anyway I do agree that we should focus on the main group first before we get new ones. We're going to have new characters on eveutlly anyway. We have Shockwave and arguably the Dinobots so once they get here it'll b worth it.

Gotta go with more Autobots, they are highly understaffed vs the Cons in general. Yeah, there's few speaking characters within the Cons ranks, but with all the V'cons and now the I'cons they have plenty of soldiers for battles and missions...the Autobots need more foot soldiers, whether they become mainstay characters or not.
