Based on the other thread, I was just wondering what people would like to see in the next Halo game?
Interesting and varied level design.
computer bots in multiplayer and cooperative over live and system link
Halo was a single player game with multiplay tacked on, Halo 2 was a multiplayer game with single play tacked on. Hopefully Halo 3 will be both.
Solid single player game with a really good story.
a good variety of weapons with each having strenghts and weaknesses
a varied and fun mulitiplayer mode
and I agree with Drippy with having a interesting and varied level design.
I'd like to see the campaign not suck this time. It's too late for them to go back and change the mistakes they made with Halo 2's story so I don't really expect the Halo 3 story to be any better, but stop with the repetitive level design that was supposed to be fixed in Halo 2 and have the enemies actually try and move in on you rather than just jumping back and forth from out of cover. I always think that it's stupid as hell in Halo 2 single player when you're alone against 30 aliens and they won't move towards you at all.
Live is where it's at with Halo though, so I'd like to see larger maps that can fit up to 32 players, and more nonsymmetrical maps. Balance the vehicles too. There's no flying or one man ground vehicle for the humans. And make the Pelicans and the Cov drop ships playable too, for moving troops across those larger maps faster
Please no bots. I understand how bots can help with the illusion of a big battle...but when you actually get into the battle they can't compare to actual human competition. Personally I think if they can get 32 players on a map at once that will be just right.
A fool proof anti-cheating device. A punkbuster. Anything. Hell, a band-aid and some chewing gum would be a better detterent than what they currently have.
reiterated for extreme veracity.
No more plasma pistol.
How about if they make the game fun? With both Halo games, I saw the trailers and stuff... The game looked really great.. But then I put the controller in my hands and started to play. 20 mins later, Im bored as hell. And I will also say that interesting and varied level design is just ONE of the many things Halo needs to fix.
Im sure the trailer(s) for Halo 3 are going to make everyone with a 360 require new pants, but I think the gameplay is going to do nothing to improve on the first two in the series.
don't use the BR so much. Honestly i can't remember the last time it was just SMGs.
Anybody who played Goldeneye 64 either loved or hated proximity mines. I loves them. Please bring them in.
make it to where you can climp up to spots with sniper rifle, but make it take longer to load and kick back like a real one.
more vehicles, NO PLASMA PISTOL
An option for giving annoying 12 year old kids who play online and scream down the head set an electric shock.
The more they do it, the higher the voltage.
Some story development would be nice.
