Lets say Dark of the Moon hits $1,000,000,000. What would that mean for Hasbro? Would that mean Hasbro would put out more toys than planned due to the movies popularity? Exactly how much would Hasbro benefit from the movie's financial sucess? Sorry if this question sounds really stupid, I'm just not really that informed when it comes to Hasbro buissness tactics or relationship to the movie.
it means that the movie grossed 1 billion. That's all that you can absolutely imply from that fact. The rest is speculation.
Probably continue the movie line way past its welcome. Retailers will get sick of the stuff and demand Classics. It'll be the exact opposite of the way it's been. XD
No, they want what sells. If it's movie stuff, then they'll order more. If it's classics, same deal. They don't request specific lines because they want to, they mostly do it based on profit.
I was mostly joking, but I understand. XD If movie stuff remains popular, which it probably will, stores will order more. However, once the movie hype dies down, children won't want it anymore and will move on to... whatever the "Bakugan" of the year is. Just as that happens, the stores won't catch on and over order whatever the subline for DOTM is, and be stuck with it forever, just like with NEST and Tuner Mudflap. Kids are very quick to change their interests. I predict the Laserbeak repaint will be the Tuner Mudflap of this line.
It means that will have alot more money to invest in producing figures. Some call it risk money. It let them give us figures that they know may not sell well to the masses, but will to hardcore fans. It allows them to take that risk, even if it won't bring in huge profits. Also, the studios will demand a 4th movie since it is clearly still quite profitable.
It just means that the odds are well in favor of movie 4 being another Bay cinematic abortion contrary to what they are saying now
I agree with this. Like all these bad ass figures we've been getting like Warpath, we can thanks ROTF for them.
That mans ego will never drop but lets be real, Jim has every right to have that ego. He literally earned it. Bay deserves a 1 bil movie, and I would much prefer it to be a Transformers movie, double win in my book
It will mean when no one was looking, Michael Bay made $1,000,000,000. That's 1000 millions. And that's terrible.
If it happns then we will get some good paint apps nd some plastic chrome thrown in, also a writer that can write a good movie with a good amount of autobot & decepticon characters not that i didnt like the 3 we hav now i jus want more bots like in the G1 cartoons...ijs
It means Hasbro and everyone else involved in the movie franchise will be scrambling to get another movie out asap.
