You know...... why skids again? Skids was in the cartoon one time and turned into a chair for Scrapper or Blitzwing.

Does skids even have fans? We got a Takara reissue, a Hasbro reissue that went on clearance and now another one? yikes......

GIVE US VICTORY TOYS!!! Leave G1 for a couple of months please.....

 

I'm pretty sure I had a G1 Skids figure as a kid. And even though I don't have one currently in my collection, I only kinda want one.

And I'm a SUCKER for nostalgia. But yeah, some later Japanese TF reissues would be utterly radical.

 

Why?

uh... Because 1.) Skids is in the huge world-wide blockbuster currently in theaters

and
2.) The mold is readily available

 

skids isnt a favourite g1 toy, i did have the collection version then actually sold him on. the nice thing about any encore toys are the packaging and the toy, i simply love the old diaclone artwork (where applicable).

 

Pretty much a guarantee on my end. I've been buying up in the last two years instead of waiting for reissues that are like a dozen a year tops.

Oh well, improvements like the blue eyes and new face sculpts are worth it. I'm still waiting on e-Hobby to re-release Starscream's Ghost. I never thought they'd remake Sunstorm or Black Megatron, yet they did.

 

Encore packaging is fantastic. I get into those sometimes more than what the box contains.

any ways using movie names as an idea of what could be next I can see the next being Side Swipe

 

Takara has reissued Sideswipe 3 times already... though that never stops them from doing another Convoy.

If Sideswipe gets done again, then maybe Red Alert along with him. Then Grapple & Bluestreak might be due for a Takara release, they would then be the only 84-85 cars known to have a viable mold that Takara wouldn't have mass-reissued. Artfire would be great to pair with Grapple too.

As said, if Devastator doesn't show up, that's about definitive proof they can't use and won't re-make his mold.

I'd love to see Jolt(and the other G2 Laser Rods) reissued... as far as movie names go.

King Poseiden/Piranacon I've expected since 2004, but nope... so if Bruticus does well, maybe then. If Bruticus doesn't sell well, then probably never.

 

I hope so too even though I have it already, he's a frigging AWESOME piece and more of you guys deserve him. That's another vein they could mine further, catalog color variants.

Call me crazy but i've tried to stay away from the movie forums. I've posted here and there but not really to in-depth.

Skids was in it? I saw the movie at the Imax and don't remember him at all.

(but if thats so.... Why not reissue Devastator!  He had a bigger role in the flick!)

 

YES!!! A bluestreak would be worth buying for sure! I missed out on the Anime Correct version but the Hasbro version with a spray painted top will do just fine for me! 

 

I can understand the reasons why TakTomy is rereleasing Skids but he's a big pass for me.

I wonder why we never got E-hobby Trailbreaker/Hoist Diaclone repaints.  

 

I actually like that figure but i have the takara reissue already so unless they do something really nice for it for encore its a pass.

 

I've noticed e-Hobby slowing down on the TF releases in general in the last year or so.
