Haven't seen a thread like this pop for a while. As for mine G1 Sideswipe. This is why I was disapointed when the Commerive Reissue never showed up at TRU, happy when it started showing up in KB-Toys, and psyched when I got one at KB-Toys.

My first one was powermaster optimus prime. Got him for christmas. I was 3 i think. That was the king of my toy box, next to the odd purple gun thing i never figured out what it was (g1 shockwave). I think someone gave it to me before i developed any type of memory. SO one of those two.... Lost primes head when my parents got divorced, got lost in the move i think. Then when i got to college found the japanese re-issue on big bad toy store on clearance for 30 bucks. I dug all the rest out of storage and started collecting again. ahhhh memories

I think it was either G1 Jetfire or Warpath.

Powermaster Optimus Prime, and some target master autobot that turned into a dumptruck. I have no idea what his name is, but I still have him at my parents' house, in decent condition too!

Edit: Ah! Went and investigated at tfu.info, and it was Landfill!

Bluestreak! Hense my screen name. I really wanted Bumblebee first, but there were no mini-bots at the Kay-bee. So I spent a while just reading those tech specs and looking at toy designs and Bluestreak had the right combo of both and the Will Rogers quote just won we over - though Jazz and Sideswipe came close. I got Bumblebee and Cosmos second at Best (remember those stores anyone?). Then came Jazz and Sideswipe. Thundercracker and Starscream were my first Decepticons. After that, I don't remember.

My first TF was G1 Optimus Prime. I think I had a couple GoBots before him, but Prime was the first real TF I got.

G1 Thundercracker. I still have him but he has since been "refurbished" with repolabels, new wings, and missles to replace the lost ones.

I don't remember the year, but for my birthday my dad took me to "Children's Palace" (Remember those?) and let me pick out what I wanted. It was a toss up between Perceptor and Thrust. Thrust won out in the end. I still have the main body, the landing gear, the right wing and the left tail fin. One of these days I will track down the other parts to restore him to greatness.

Starscream. I loved him. I got him for being good in the store at a place called Zair's I think.

Here's my pat answer I use whenever this topic somes up;)

My parents bought me Prowl in 84 because my Grandfather was a police officer. He's trashed to hell and back now, but I remember cherishing that toy...not long after I got Dirge, then I was hooked on TFs:)

This is also why Prowl is my fav Autobot car.

My first was G1 Megatron. Got him back in '85, my uncle and Dad took him from me as soon as I got him out of the box. They spent the next hour trying to TF him using the instructions (after-all he was a fairly complicated TF at the time) Anyway after they got him figured out they brought him back downstairs to me and told me to try it out. I had him TF'd in 5 minutes without their help.

He lost/broke his arm a couple years later in a horrible battle with my brother's Optimus Prime. But luckily enough I was able to get a second one via mail-order later that year. I still have both of them, one stays in gun mode, his arm permanently glued in position. The other stands proudly leading my Decepticon troops in pristine condition.

You also broke Meg's arm too? Mine was broken by a friend who couldn't transform him! Grrr...luckily I had Galvatron back.
