I won an auction on flea bay for a replacement Onslaught to go with my FP upgrade set. When I was looking at some pictures from the auction. I realized I didnt recognize the colors. It's not the ROTF colors or the Energon, Can anybody shed a little light?
Sorry for the crappy pics they are screen caps from my Iphone.

I just compared the Tfwiki image with the ones you posted. I'm almost certain it is the ROTF version.

The paint schemes are the same, and that's the only usage of the mold in anything even remotely resembling that I've seen.

It's the RotF version with the Energon Bruticus head.

    I'm sure it is.

Onslaught24, is this rare? I thought a lot of people offloaded theirs when FP Bruticus came out since the Energon version was so easy to get, and more G1 accurate, making a lot of people get rid of the Onslaught, along with the retail Swindle and Blast Off.

yep. any deco is rare and very expensive and now that the Energon deco is highly sought after, people have no doubt been buying up all the ROTF decos for customization. at least from what i've seen. plus i only see FP Bruticus and the original ROTF set itself on ebay so i'd just be happy with the Onslaught

That's much more green than my ROTF version, but it has the ROTF markings. I'm not aware of any re-release after the initial release of that mold at Target stores.

It's by no means rare. Just highly sought after. There's a difference.

IIRC the Energon deco is pretty hard to find, wasn't it in one of the last two Deluxe assortments that barely made it out to US retail? I know it never really made full saturation along with Roadblock / the Grapple styled Inferno remold.

On the other hand, it was one of the toys later released to Big Lots and other clearance outlets, where it was available for several years afterward, IIRC.

I personally didn't have any troubles finding him. Consistently saw him through to the end of the line. It was the last set of limbs that I only saw once or twice (which I bought, naturally).

I think it was the fixed plate version (the one that bruticus head is on) is rare but the unfixed one was more common

Yeah, the Energon version was very easy to get thanks to the repackaged UNiverse version being available at Big Lots, Family Dollars, and the like. I definitely was still finding it as late as 2010... I considered picking one up just for shiggles but they were incredibly easy to get if you wanted one.

Universe or ROTF. Can't tell the difference imo. Either way it's identical, I think.

It's the Universe2/ROTF one, the picture's just washed out due to poor lighting.
