I am curious what type of computers people own: I will start I own a Macbook
I have a Dell Inspiron 530.
Dell Inspiron 230 I think? Although I think the only original thing left in it is the motherboard
Older MacBook Pro
A HP Pavilion a6317c
Didn't come with a mouse and the key board doesn't really work.
We replaced the keyboard.
A mutt PC. Screw Apple!
Wait, I have an I-Pod.
People still buy brand-name computers?
I have one I built myself using an Intel Core Quad 9450, which is the most up-to-date computer I've owned since my old P450 back in 1999. Before this quad core, I've used generally out-of-date hand me downs.
HP Pavilion 9400t (Elite) from Costco loaded with custom picked parts-
-2.66 GHz Q6600 Intel Quad
-Nvidia 9800GT 1GB Video
-Titaniumsomething soundcard (forgot it)
-8 GB RAM
-500 Watt power supply (?)
-Vista Home Premium 64-bit
-19" 1440x900 Acer monitor
Runs most games on high or very high, usually able to max out everything out right now in everything except resolution. Mobo is SLI ready if I remember right, its been a year since I landed this beauty, only a grand with Costco's cheap-ass tower prices.
Build my own PC's so no brand in particular.
Custom Built Water cooled 9850 Quad- core pc.
I got an older HP pavillion (2.2ghz)
and i just got a Toshiba Satellite Laptop about 1 month ago.
HP Pavilion laptop. dv9500t. it is large. desktop replacement machine. it's from 2007, but it is very nice still.
A compaq, some amd dual core processor, 2gb of ram, Soundblaster X-Fi, the vid card is a Geforce 8650gt. Good enough to play wow luckily.
I have 2 PCs.
One is in my room and is used for general internet stuff, emails, and videos & music.
The other is in my studio, is completely dedicated for studio use, and is used for nothing else whatsoever. It also no active net connection; no need for antivirus software means much better performance.
Both were originally store bought, but have been modified with bigger HDDs, more powerful PSUs, different graphics cards & soundcards and so on.

I also have a laptop, a Toshiba Satellite Pro A120 running XP Pro, which I take round with me in case I get an idea for a new tune.
I built my own system about two years ago. Still runs fine, but I want to replace some of the hardware.
Intel Core2Duo E8400 3 GHz
4 GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066 MHz RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics card (yeah, it sucks.)

doesn't take long for the Apple haters to chime in.
lol, you can't hate something you have never tried
and don't give me "my so and so cousin from like 10 years ago had one"
Separate names with a comma.
