    1. Because I'm and idiot with no good sense probably, I did manage to reduce the amount of Games I buy and limit my additional non Transformers toy purchases to sale price goods. and Thanks to IDW I no longer need buy comics so that helps.
Though 3rd Party Products probably more than eat up everything that I otherwise save.
    2. A lower bank balance and less room in my home.
    3. No. I'm not one for Voom Voom noises... Maybe the odd impression.
"Come out Autobot, we all must die sometime!" (laugh)
    4. I like to fiddle with them while watching TV and to photograph them mainly.

I'm resisting the Temptation to do video reviews as there's plenty of others who have got that covered already.

I have been considering Audio reviews though - if anyone knows where I can host them.

I buy mostly generations/classics and only characters I wanted as kid. I have them posed for display and every now and then I stare at them and feel happy I have them and sometimes I take one of them and transform him and so on.

    1. Cause they are kewl
    2. Enjoyment,a desire for more cool figs, sometimes frustration. Like today,I finally successfully transformed Rotf Mixmaster to alt mode for the first time. I've had him for nearly TWO YEARS. He will be staying that way for the next couple weeks
    3. Yes. I sort of do the 'pew pew' and 'vroom' thing but in a more "accurate" way akin to the movies and shows(I'm addicted to recreating the Optimus' great mile of destuction and doom scene from dotm). I also pose them and put them into battle scenes every once in a while. And like everyone,I transform them alot
    4. Hmmm...I CAN'T F*CKING WAIT FOR PRIME FIGURES!!!...sorry

I collect, because. I just always have.
I get a neat little figure that also turns into something else, that also represents a char from the fiction I like.
Course I play with my toys, they -are- toys. The boxes are a plastic/cardboard prison. And well, it isn't the 80s... there really is -no- re-sale value.
Also, I lately. I pretty much, open the box, transform it. Let it stay in a neat little pose for three months, and then go back transform it, and make a couple of goofy voices, with quotes or something, and go about my day.

Nostalgia and robots that turn into things are still cool.
Nostalgic satisfaction and something to discuss with fellow geeks.
Pretty much just pick them up and transform them then put them back on the shelf.
    Nope.

    1. Must admit that I'm not sure why I started, but I loved the 2007 film so I'll blame that.
    2. Nigh on bankrupcy. I'd be far better off if I hadn't started.
    3. About 80% of my collection is in it's packaging, but I've been known to transform those that aren't. There are some, such as Leader Ironhide, who I'm itching to unpack but I've nowhere to put him.
    4. Anything else? Erm, nope.

    1. why do you buy the toys

I marvel at the engineering, and I need a hobby.

    2. what do you get out of them?

An empty wallet, and a crowded room.
Kidding... I get a kick out of them. I like having a collection.

    3. Do you play with them at all and if so how? (ie, setting up battles, vroom vroom noises etc.)

I pose them, I take pictures of them, I have a photocomic in the works. But I don't get them off the shelf and actually play with them... no.

    4. Anything else?

    Nope.

    1. I enjoy them (well, most of them, piss off, Double Clutch)
    2. I get bookshelves full of toys, obviously XD
    3. I transform a few of them here and there when I'm watching TV or whatever. I don't crash them together and make noises, if that's what you're asking.

    1. Because I'm different. And they rock.
    2. Enjoyment. That's about it.
    3. Battles and displays. Not much else.
    4. A movie with Robert Downey Jr. and Denis Leary as the leads would be amazing.
