I have a cool one, takes great, clear pictures. It looks like the first one there but says "Fujifilm." Shame I don't have any good lighting/conditions to take full advantage of it.

I wish I knew it's full name. I have the box around here somewhere.

Fujifilm and Nikon Share bodies and lens mounts. Speaking of Fuji, the X100 is a fine camera. Like a rangefinder, but w/ autofocus. Great for street shooting.

Panasonic DMC-FS3 Lumix and a HTC Touch Diamond (better quality than my shoddy LG245).

^^ That has a leica lens on it. Nice. The new Leica point and shoot is actually outperformed by the Panasonic. And the panasonic is a good 500 buck cheaper.

I recently bought Sony Cyber-Shot 12.1 megapixel with steady shot. It's a good camera for taking still pictures.

I've got a Samsung that runs on AA batteries I use for convention stuff, and an old HP that's about six or seven years old I use for galleries. Been thinking about getting a new one. Something that would be good for the galleries, better sharpness / focus, and better for getting clear pictures in low-light situations since my pics always tend to be a bit grainy under those conditions.

Beyond my phone, I have no camera. I do love a good bit of photography, however. Could you people be so kind as to help a beginner out with choosing a decent camera which wouldn't blow up his wallet?
