Mine's The Simpsons so What's yours
My mom gave me a crappy generic one with Santa and a reindeer on it, and the chocolate in each door.
I tell her not to get me these every years since I don't like solid chocolate. At least it has a "Fun game on the back" where I can help Santa find his way through a majestic winter maze.
Instead of candy, behind each of the 26 little doors is a dictionary - one for each letter of the alphabet!
I don't have one.
I didnt bother this year, It just became something that was more hassle I didnt need. That, and I couldnt find a place that stocked the Lego ones, a mini-kit for each day!
I have one of those chocolate ones that repeats the chocolate shape every 2 days or so, I guess they couldn't think of 24 different shapes. Plus I have a Lego one, it's kinda cool.
I got a "Little Britain" one.
Cadburys Dairy Milk one
Damn you! What kits did you get so far?
I was about to ask "What's an advent calendar?"
Then I thought to myself "self, Jux is going to come along and use the google smiley on your sorry ass."
So I hit google.
Had them once or twice as a kid. Didn't know they were still a thing.
PLaymobil Christmas Living Room.
My girlfriend got me a Spider-man one. I opened the first day and forgot about it.
I think I got some chocolate to eat.
She really wanted to get me a Transformers one, but apparently they don't make them.
Someone at Hasbro needs to seriously work on their marketing skills. Transformer's market penetration sucks festive monkey balls.
EDIT: Just ate 8 days of chocolate. My teeth hurt.
I use a cheesy baby calendar, for marking all those baby moments lol
haven't had one of those in a long time...there are some really old ones over at Mom and Dad's, though. brings back memories!
I gave the Playmobil Advent calendar to my cousins after reading the stories made up about it in X-Entertainment for three years now. Anyone else reading X-Entertainment's advent calendar coverage?
There are a few people who have joined Draven's club of not getting Google'd.
Advent calendar? I thought those were for kids...
(and yes I realise the irony of posting this in a discussion based on a children's toy line )
Phfff... just for kids.
My Gran has always got one for all the gan-kids every year.
It's a tradition.
This year she had to send mine to me.
Some people wondered what it was when it arrived at work
We have 4 of 'em. 2 Playmobils and 2 Legos. Might get this year's Lego set as well. Speaking of which, we have a little catching up to do. Anyone think a TF Advent calendar would be fun. A new Minicon or Micromaster each day!
