I'm looking for some recommendations on what to watch next in the Transformers franchise.

Currently I've seen most of G1 out of order, TF:TM, Beast Wars, Animated, live-action movies (least favorite), and all of Prime this far.

What is recommended next and why? What's least recommended and why?

    Okay.............?

Think you need to edit that first post. :)

Ah ha! I would suggest RiD or Armada.

Why do I need to like the Shia LeBeouf shows? Bay-movies = humans and their pet robots. (My opinion)

You can try watching Transformers Cybertron..It's really good if you don't pay attention to the fact that Cybertron is trying to be part of Armada, and Energon...

Beast Wars, Prime, and Animated are my top recommended series, though you've already seen them.

Beast Machines is... controversial. It sucks all the fun out of Beast Wars and drastically changes much of the returning cast. It's not really bad in of itself, it's just so completely unlike its predecessor that it may immediately turn you away solely because it's "different."

Robots in Disguise is pretty decent, mostly because of Sky-Byte. He's so utterly pathetic you can't help but root for even the tiniest of victories for him. It's pretty campy (stealing the city's AA batteries is about as dastardly as the villains get), so you'd have to appreciate that type of show to really enjoy it.

Armada's good, though horrendously slow at first and rather obviously rushed. Once it gets going it gets going. It plays around with some more serious themes (soldiers on both sides being essentially the same, the irony of having to use war to achieve peace, etc.) while still being fun and not totally "gritty real." Starscream's story arc alone makes it worth watching, though there are many other good aspects.

Energon is just terrible. The plotting, animation, dubbing, character development... everything is just horribly, horribly done. It's non-subjectively bad. You can read all about it here, but I think this image sums it up nicely:

Thanks. Now the best part of all this is my three-and-a-half year old daughter enjoys watching with me. She recognizes and names three characters so far and she gets mad when I pause the shows.

Based on her reactions alone, I think she liked Beast Wars the best.

I say to watch Robots in Disguise or Armada. They can grow on you. At first, I wasn't really fond of RiD, but I learned to like it. I liked Armada pretty much from the start.

Rescue Bots is also nice. Its target audience is children, but adults can enjoy it too.
(I'm so sure: You will love Blades if you ever watch RB!)
