I bought a United Wreckgar from Amazon for $35 which seems to be the going rate on Ebay / Amazon / Web sites and today I find to my shock I received a RTS Wreckgar which I already have like 10 of already.

I emailed the seller but I am beyond pissed off and feel so ripped off right now it is not even funny.

Paying what I did and it being listed what it was I assumed I would get what I paid for. Apparently I was wrong.

What would you do if you were in my situation? It is honestly not about the money anymore. I want what I paid for and will not settle for anything less.

What did the seller say when you emailed them?

Light the seller on fire, and steal his/her/it's collection.

Post the listing. Perhaps you misunderstood it.

    :lol

It could've been an honest mistake. I had that happen to me recently, I won auctions for some EZ's from an overseas seller and when they arrived, one was an EZ Animated Optimus (normal version) when I'd purchased an EZ RotF Clear Prime. I contacted them, they looked for another version and just messaged me the other day to let me know the replacement's in transit. We'll see when it arrives, but hopefully it's the correct one.

Is it annoying? Yes, especially since the clear Prime I bought was the most "expensive" of the bunch so I would've hoped the seller would pay attention to what he was sending. Stuff happens though, and hopefully in your case it's just an honest mistake and not you being screwed or misled.

It's not uncommon for sellers to list a Hasbro release as a Takara one so their listings can get more hits. I wish people would stop doing this.

^ that also looks to correspond to the United version, so it's not just the name.

That listing says fifty bucks with 6 left in stock. Exchange it.

All Amazon listings are stationary. The seller I bought it from only had 1 in stock.

The listing is the same generic listing I bought it from.

    :(

Aim for justice, which in the end (be it guilty or innocent hhe), should result in you being given a full refund or the actual figure you agreed to buy. Take a screenshot of the listing, print the page, and basically don't lose the info.

It's good that you've contacted the seller, but you should definitely explore Amazon's policies about this stuff too & see what the waiting periods/resolution steps/whatever are. I know this is all generic stuff, but that's what I'd do in the mean time here.

Yeah, wait on a seller response to see what resolution they can offer, and while you wait, see what recourse Amazon offers by way of mediation.
