Getting a lot worse could actually be an improvement. Maybe they'd circle completely around and finally get to good. :p
Well, you can't have two red robots with flame paintjobs - that'd surely utterly confuse the general public as to which is which.

Good point. More-or-less omnipotent characters are pretty dull since the battle against them is hopeless until the magic MacGuffin is discovered (or deus ex machina occurs as I mentioned earlier) to defeat them and then they fall over like a domino tile.

Yeah, I agree, particularly in the Transformers universe. How many times has the Matrix saved the day now? By my count, going off of the comics, cartoons and movies, that's at least five.

I wouldn't mind tho' if Unicron made an appearance at some point but it'd have to be in the absolute LAST movie (like for real, no more movies for a decade last) so they can go out with a bang and give it proper scope.

I agree the Macguffins and deus ex machina needs to be put to bed for a very long time. So many more creative ways to have the good guy pull off a win by either digging deep to beat the odds or the hero must cross some line for the win.

Maybe they're going to start to include GI-JOE for a Transformers vs GI-JOE movie . Can you imagine The Rock and Bruce Willis taking on the Decepticons

That would only make the decepticons suck more.

That all depends on what they're going to do with the Deceptions with this re-imagining. They might make them more powerfull. Think Brawl in the first movie.

A G.I. Joe tie-in would be nice. Although it wasn't a hit at the Box Office, I did like the first Joe movie--and it had a style that would fit in with Bay's way of doing things. :bay

Still, I prefer the use of "real" military techniques (if that's the proper term). They did that quite well in the first TF movie. It wasn't so apparent in the other two.

I think its gonna be a reboot rather than a sequel to DOTM. Honestly, I think I'd prefer it. I want to see Transformers taken in a different direction than it was in the first trilogy. I liked the first trilogy, but I want to see Megs, Starscream, Shockwave and Soundwave back
