Toyfar shows a Cyclonus that has matching grey plastic for legs, painted face, and painted horns. I guess they do not know what Hasbro is actually providing for the masses?

It's probably either a photo of the handpainted sample or one of Hasbro's doctored pics.

Well, when you see a sample of a toy early and not in production yet, the hand painted sample is always nicer.

For the price we get deluxes in the US, ($10) we cant complain, but of course, everyone still does.

If Hasbro charged $25 like Tomy does, maybe they would be more detailed.

I personally don't mind the sacrifice of apps for a substantial savings.

Well, this being the 25th anniversary and all, you would think Hasbro would, ya know ...

Looking at Cyclonus by eye his leg color match perfectly. After I took a pic the top and lower half of his legs differ in color. But I assure you his legs both match in color.

EDIT: Okay after closer inspection and better lighting his Top and Lower half of his thighs are diffrent in color just slightly.

    This. I agree.

I'll take a $10 toy with minor flaws in paint or color and simply use my own paints to change things or fill spots in if I choose to. It's really no trouble.

What a sad state of affairs that our fandom has come to if accepting poor quality product is seen as a blessing.

Bejeebers, it's not seen as a blessing. It's seen as an accepted trade-off. HUGE difference. If you think Hasbro can make these figures with 100% perfect paint apps and sell them for sub $10, you're nuts.

Wait, when did this fandom used to get high quality exactly? I've never owned a tf, even from when I was a kid with G1 stuff, that didn't have some kind of minor flaw or annoyance I wanted to change.

I guess we should accept a solid gold cyclonus that transforms all by himself...but without joking i see a little bit of where your coming from.

I have been collecting Transformers for almost 25 years and I can tell you sincerely that I can count on ONE hand the number of messed up paint apps or defective product until the 2007 Movie line.

    Now since then ...

I have come across DOZENS of problems with paint apps and defective merchandise.
