What the hell were those things called? Takara Toy Shop or something?

You know what I'm talking about, they were miniature replicas of early takara products that included a tiny MISB diecast Optimus Prime. I'm trying to find and buy one of those, but I can't find any trace of them anywhere.

takara mini toyshop. they were blind-packed, and the convoy figure was in extremely high demand. he's going to be next to impossible to find now.

it's a shame, he looks really cool!(even though he doesnt transform)

They don't always go for THAT much on Ebay. I've seen some slip by at only $10-15. The reason being that they're hard to search for because there's no particularly good keyword to search for. Not everybody uses 'mini' or 'Toy Shop'. Your best bet is just to plug in Prime or Convoy and go through all of 'em.

Right now, I can only find these two:

    Not bad

    and

    Yikes!

Keep in mind, the "yikes" one started at only $1. Demand has pushed it that high. I'm glad I hit "buy it now" for $20 back when it was first released. I'd hate to try to get one now.

That's the one. I suspect the two auctions will end at roughly the same price, we'll just have to watch and see.

And I can only find one other of the set on ebay, the pre-microman henshin cyborg. I want those tiny penny racers too, now that I've seen them.

Would I be a total ass if I mentioned that I picked one up at Botcon last year for $10? :D

Not at all. I only paid like $25 shipped. Considering it was teh interwebz, that's not too bad. So $10 for a pickup in person is pretty good, but expected at conventions.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there. He's an ass.

Unless he can hook me up with a cheap toy shop convoy. Then he's my best friend.

You are in luck. The pens are still in Japan (my other toy hasn't shipped yet, grrrrr).
I'll be able to find you one, probably about $12 before shipping?

edit; I have just found a shop which seems to have the series in stock. I can't confirm it unless I order, though. LMK.

Maybe I should've picked one of those up back when. Oh well, I've got enough WST Primes to cover me.

Yeah Mini Toyshop Convoy doesn't even transform. But the tiny box and catalogue is very neat.

OK does anyone else want the set?

I need to check the availability but if I can order a few that'll bring down the cost a couple of bucks per set.
    This is how small the figures are;

Depending on price, I wouldn't mind a second set.
