It's possible. Even within a movie line we've gotten different things like Gravity Bots and RPM. So it's not totally out of the question that they could pull off the same thing they did with the Star Wars line where you have the more traditional style toys on the shelves along side the more stylized Clone Wars toys.

 

Believe me, I agree with you. I wish Hasbro would run something more like TFA along side the movie lines. But, it seems the retailers (and Hasbro for that matter) don't see that as a good idea with Transformers. But, in compairing it to Clone Wars, it only helps make my point. TFP does infact appear to be a more streamlined version of the movie asthetic... but when it comes to the toys.... they shouldn't look any less complex than an actual movie figure. Because the movie character models have to be simplified for the toy version.... so they should meet right in the middle.
