Most of my collection I've bought factory sealed and opened. There are several items on eBay I've bought loose though. I only have a couple toys I've kept MiSB. BWNeo Randy v. Crazybolt will never be opened since Randy is a giant GPS mess for instance.

 

Everything's out in the open.

Most of my purchases are from retail, so I do physically open most of them myself, but when I buy from eBay/here/etc. I don't really care if it's still packaged or not.

 

I open pretty much everything, save the few G1 reissues that look to pretty in box to open.

 

I picked #2 but I do #3 (for convenience sake, Carded figures take up more space than I have)

 

I buy loose or sealed, but I always crack the packaging, because at the end of the day, it's mine. I keep packaging for the pretty ones though.

 

I unseal most of my figures for 2 reasons
1. Carded figures take up too much space
2. Carded figures Can't be posed or played with and Having a 6-year-old brother around, Transformers get their due Combat and Modeling time.
3. I can't transport Carded figures home without my kid brother knowing. Thankfully, 1 Deluxe-sized figure, its accesories, and its Instructions can fit in a cargo pocket.

 

Mostly new and then open it. Actually 100% factory sealed and opened as of now.

Im gonna say around 98% of my collection is loose. Just have a few MISB like SDCC Skyscream or SDCC Blaster.

 

I buy whatever is less expensive. If you do your price comparing and don't immediately jump on the first person that has something you want, you can get some good deals. I've bought several figures misb/mosc from people in the junkion that sell them cheaper then others have them priced loose. It's just a matter of finding the deals OR being able to wait it out for them.

But all my shit gets opened eventually. I still have a sealed energon and cybertron galvatrons that I bought retail and are going for stupid amounts now...but they will be opened once there is space for them!  

 

Usually option 3 (buy sealed and open), though I do tend to buy duplicates of many figures to keep sealed, or to act as back-ups in case of breakage (got a few RtS Wreck-Gars and Generations Junkheap from Ross & TJ Maxx/Marshalls).

I wouldn't be able to resist. Even if I had to put something away to make room, those two would be opened in a flash.

For the TFP deluxe and voyager lines I keep one of each in the package and then one of each open for display/playing with. If I got anything sealed from other lines I would open them though.

 

I rarely open anything. I think I've only opened less than 5 since 2004.
I do buy some loose tho. Someday I plan on switching up that behaviour a little bit.

 

You left out the one choice that applies to me:

I buy loose or sealed depending on the circumstances and open everything, although sometimes I put something back in the box for display, such as Alternity.

 

If I see it and I want it, I buy it, loose or sealed. I hardly ever leave anything in the box, unless I'm storing it away.

 

I buy factory sealed but open. I also buy loose. To me it's not worth owning if you can only see it in alt mode or mis-transformed through a plastic window.
