Hi all. I just once again, started my CHUG collection today at Wal-Mart as indicated by previous thread.
I like most of the Autobot cars, and I like the Decepticon seekers as they represent their G1 characters rather well. However, I don't care too much for Optimus Prime in this series. I'm wondering what Prime would be good for the Classic Henkie Universe, Generation series?
Would Igears Faith Leader be a good size, or is he too big for Classics?

Same question can be asked for Megatron as well, although I doubt there's really anything for him other than the tanks. Tank's in advance!

 

to be honest with you, classics prime and classics megs just does not cut it now and faith leader is just too big. when i look at my collection, display wise classics prime and megs stick out very badly.

dunno who to put in it now. for now though, they are there until something better comes out.

 

Faith leader is a tad to big for my taste, but many people use it. I'm fine with the Henkei Prime.

Really? I totally respect everyone's preference and what they like vs. dislike. But why do you say that? Classics/Henkei Prime and Henkei/United Megatron are very nice Classics interpretations of those characters.

A: Had to sell to pay off debts. And debts were paid off so it was worth it.
B: Classics line isn't as large as G1
C: G1 got boring as I'm appreciating the articulation of the Classics and MP's a lot more than the G1 bricks.
D: I still have my WST G1's and will be keeping those as long as humanly possible.
E: I now have more room for Classics, but didn't have room for every G1 figure that I wanted.

I'm seriously considering Faith Leader because he is smaller than MP Prime, and being Prime, he should be bigger than his fellow Classics Autobots. I think he'd be a good stand in, although it would be nice to see somebody post a picture of their Faith Leader with their Classic Autobots.

 

Classics/Henkei Optimus Prime is the best toy I have ever come across. I still continually fiddle with it to this day. It's been years since I got it, too. I say go for it!

are all outdated compared to what i have. putting classics prime next to RTS jazz alone does not display well. the recent ones that came out just pushed this to the limit. i think even my definition of classics has changed with the recent developments in RTS and generations line. don't get me wrong either. i love the prime mold. i just want something better now.

 

PP01 is redundant now that there's MP-10.

Classics/Henkei Optimus is a more than fine representation of the character.

 

The Classics mold is still good, if a bit outdated, so if you can get it for a good price, Classics or Henkei would be fine. However, I am being rather tempted by the upcoming Voyager Prime Prime (we really need to think of something better to call him). The figure looks quite good, and the style shouldn't look too out of place in Classics.

 

Yeah, voyager TFP Prime might be what you're after.

I'd hang on until MP 10 is out and we have some shots of it next to other Primes.

However, I love the Classics Prime mold.

If, like me, you don't mind mixing and matching your aesthetics, I like TFA voyager Prime, especially with the visor up. (Currently, my very mixed shelf has G1 Prime with TFA Jazz, classics Mirage, Henkei Hound, movie Ironhide, PCC Huffer, many others and will get a TFP Arcee.)

 

I have to vote for Classics or Henkei too...it's a fantastic toy, in spite of the big tuck kibble on its' arms. Loads of articulation a nice updated feel to the alt mode...sure it's not "in scale" with the cars in vehicle mode but in robot mode it's bigger than them without absolutely TOWERING over them like faith leader does. That looks absolutely ridiculous IMO.

Seriously, scale is unimportant as long as it look's reasonable together. Like MP04 and Alternators.  

 

I will say Classics Prime, either Has/Tak decos are good IMO, but Takara's is better. However, I also display Cybertron Leader Prime with them, kinda to represent Powermaster Prime, since that was my Prime as a kid.
