got bb, arcee and starscream from tru, though I sold bb and arcee. They did not turn out great imo. also got cliffjumper through trade with a canadian fellow who was kind enough to help out

Bought Screamer, RC, and R2-B2 off of BBTS. But that's all, unfortunately. Just can't justify the cost of buying the voyagers or the other deluxes.
Hasbro FE Bulkhead, Arcee and BB. Takara FE Optimus, Cliffjumper, BB, and Vehicon. Also Bulkhead in my POL at BBTS, which I can't cancel now. RiD Megatron, Soundwave and Wheeljack, and also both Entertainment Packs (though I sold off the deluxe Megs). I was able to find most at retail and/or online stores for the Japanese stuff, except Optimus and the Vehicon, which I had to go to Ebay for once things got hot! No regrets, though.
I found Bumblebee at TRU, AFTER I bought Arcee, Bumblebee and Starscream off of eBay in a set. Waited forever to find the other First Editions, but they weren't coming (this was before Christmas, before the dire news) so I ordered the rest from Canadian sellers. Bought: Bulkhead Cliffjumper Entertainment Pack Optimus Prime Then, when we found out that the Vehicon was going to be Japan only, I thought all hope was lost, but then BBTS opened a preorder at the last minute (when I thought they were sold out) and I nabbed that sucker as fast as I could. Would I do it again? Yep. Not at current pricing, but if I had to go back in time and do it all again, yep.
I bought Arcee and Starscream at retail, I got Takara Bulkhead on BBTS and I got Cliffjumper off eBay right before the prices went through the roof. I lucked out.
I have Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Voyager Prime. Only other ones I want are Cliffjumper and the Vehicon, and I have a hunch they might be released as a two-pack later.
I feel like it has to depend in part on the region, and in part with people's willingness to buy online and deal with the markup that sometimes ensues. Literally the only FE figure I ever saw at retail was Bumblebee, and that was exactly twice--never thought I'd regret passing up a Bumblebee figure. More on topic, I have three FE figures: the NYCC Bumblebee and Arcee, and a Starscream that I ordered from Amazon (for almost $40, for what it's worth) and that just came in today.
