Hmmm, the arms don't look like Cybertron Primus' to me. Maybe I'm wrong.

    Ebay:
The arms are indeed from Primus. The shoulders look like they are a couple bots from the RID Landfill mold.

If you look for the one that's very simular it in the Radicons, more than likely the creator describes in detail what was used and how it was done.

The lower torso is Energon Demolishor, and the wings for the chestplate are EDIT: from G1 Devastator.

Looking at the individual figures in that eBay auction...

    - RiD Grimlock mold - Right shoulder.
    - RiD Wedge mold - Left shoulder.
    - RiD Hightower mold - Upper torso.
    - Cybertron Landmine mold - Right leg.
    - Energon Demolishor mold - Abdomen.
    - Energon Barricade mold - Heavily modified into Mixmaster, left leg.

    - Hips, thighs, parts of lower legs - Armada Unicron components.
    - Hands, lower arms - Cybertron Primus

See... Now why have Hasbro never had the balls to make something like this?

Here, I've got myself a checklist as I'm planning to make one of these for myself. Approved by Ptitvite. Hah

    [ ] Unicron
    [ ] Primus
[ ] RiD Build Team (or repaints)
    [ ] Energon Demolisher
    [ ] Energon Barricade
[ ] Tonka cement mixer toy
[ ] casted Cyb Starscream head or Ptivite custom head

Plus the connecting parts which you'll have to do mostly yourself.

That's the part where I would be lost. Is there a tutorial on the connecting parts? Are there existing parts you purchase or do you simply do this creatively?

Nope, it's G1 Devastator's chest with a Bionicle chest peice and what appears to be Arm Jolt's gun, but it's dark and small.

Deffinately Primus's. They're untouched except for the paint.

Ptitvite suggested Lego Technic/Knights pieces and junker Energon top/bottom combiners.

He's got a Radicon thread, as does Frenzy_Rumble, who did one of these as well. Check it out.

This Devastator along with many that came after Ptivite’s was inspired by Ptivite’s. As for the connecting parts, it seems many people use either parts from Neo-shifters, Lego Knights, Bionicle. I think Ptivite used (on certain parts) the connecting parts from the Energon combiners (but this would be the most expensive way to go about creating the connecting parts).

Back to this particularly custom posted, is it me or does the left leg (Mixmaster leg) seem longer than the right leg (Bonecrusher leg). Dev seems like he’s leaning right. Maybe it’s picture angle I’m not sure.

I noticed it too, the two stand-alone figures don't match up in height. And he's posing the figure to try and hide it. Notice he doesn't ever stand it straight up, he's always got that left leg coming out a good ways.

Shame. Methinks someone's getting ripped off a grand on some shoddy planning and design.

Also, does this Mixmaster also suffer from the "have to remove the legs in alt mode and leg mode" syndrome?

Can you still purchase the Lego Technic/Knight pieces at retail?
