O.k., Bay and Spielberg are being inducted into the TF HoF.
Personally, I think Bay deserves it... but not Spielberg.

This thread is not to argue Bay's merits... but the merits of people other than Bay- including Spielberg.

Personally, I would start with any VA whose character made it into the HoF.

    Second, Aaron Archer.

    Dare I suggest Susan Blu?

I would lobby for Nelson Shin.

    Cullen and Welker.

Posthumously- Latta... and maybe even Crothers.

    David Kaye.

    Add. Subtract. Discuss.

I think it's easy and tempting to go overboard with nominating VAs, but I would say Susan Blu for sure - she's done so much voice directing work, that she's probably had a larger hand in some of our favorite characters than we realize. Likewise, Wally Burr for his work directing on G1.

I would also say Forward and DiTillio since Beast Wars did so much for the overall mythos - i.e. sparks and such.

And Marty Isenberg for Animated, which brought new levels of unified continuity to Transformers while paying tribute to what came before. IMO, it should be the template for all shows to follow in the future.

Isenberg was involved with both Animated and Beast Machines; the most fun and the most serious franchises. Definitely him

I hope DJW makes it in, probably better if he was able to this year being Animated themed and all.

    Why is Spielberg getting in?

Maybe I;m ignorant to his contributions.

I think it's because he hired Bay.

Who was the dude who voiced Beast Wars Megs? I think he should be in. He´s one of the most iconic Megs of all times-

    Pat Lee?

He did pretty much revive the Transformers comics business.

Susan Blu most definitely, as she's the only person I can think of to make such notable contributions in front and behind the mic over such a long time.

Kojin Ono, if only for his involvement of the designs of the toys throughout basically the entire G1 line.

David Kaye. He's at Botcon this year.

Pfft Yeah right...... Next your telling me we should have Matt Hill and Brad Swaile (Energon Ironhide and Kicker) at Botcon as well.

Budiansky (in many ways, he is to Transformers what Hama is to G.I.Joe; came up with many of the names and the bios)

    Cullen

    Burr

    Shin

    Kaye

Budiansky and Cullen are already in!

    So is Kohjin Ohno.

What, did everybody forget that last year introduced human inductees?

As far as who I would add? Victor Caroli, since that voice was synonymous with the original lines, both in the show and all the commercials. Simon Furman I would add to, as he's been involved up to this day. If he wasn't such a self-serving douche, I'd say Floro Dery, but I won't for that exact reason

Simon Furman is a must, he's been with the line a long time and a lot of what he did in the comics back in the 80s and 90's still has major impact today.
