So just recently, I re-installed my copy of Aliens vs Predator 2 onto my new PC. It runs amazingly. Much much better than before with my old PC. I can now play online and experience practically no lag what-so-ever. When other people are lagging, I'm not and I can smoke them. Plus, with the better performance, I can actually play the game better than before.

My other PC games I have here are:
-Doom, Doom II, & Final Doom.
    -LEGO Island 2.
    -LEGO Alpha Team.
    -LEGO Racers.
    -Sim Theme Park.
    -Beast Wars Transformers.
-Trespasser: The Lost World, Jurassic Park.
    -Star Wars Battlefront 2. (DVD-ROM)

For some reason, I can't get Trespasser or Beast Wars to run on my new PC (yet).

I'm more of a console gamer so I only buy a PC game every few years. If I can get it on console, then I don't feel the need for it on PC. The most recent game I have purchased is Star Wars Battlefront 2.

So I'm wondering fellow board members, what older (& newer) PC games do you still play?

And for those curious, my AVP2 name is "Optimus Prime". And I usually fight a guy named "[TNT] Megatron" (TNT is his clan. He recently asked me if I wanted to join it.). Seriously, we do have Prime vs Megs fights on there every night or two. It's great fun. We throw quotes back and forth at each other while we battle.
    Example:
    Him: "PRIME!"
Me: "One shall stand, one shall fall."
Him: "Why throw away your life so recklessly?!?"
Me: "That's a question you should ask yourself, Megatron!"
    *fights*

Oh, and while we're at it, does anyone else here play Aliens vs Predator 2?

The original X-Com. It's probably my most played game overall.

Starcraft I think.....New starcraft is coming out soon. It supposed to be hottness.

X-com was (is) the #1 ranked game of all time I believe. And it was made in the 70's or somethin.

Nothing like it, most RTS players would get raped if they tried to play an X-Com game.

I take it you haven't been PC gaming very long, the original X-Com came out in 1993.

Cool! I didn't think there were many people who played this still. I dust it off myself once in a while as well.

Older games I still play semi-regularly or regularly:

    Star Wars Rebellion
Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast multiplayer
    Tie Fighter

Newer games I'm often playing lately:

The new Sam and Max games from Telltale. They kick ass, even if a bit too short.
    PS. - Vote for Max!!!
Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 from the folks who brought you Football (Soccer) Manager. (I love management sims)
    Battlefield 2142
City of Heroes/Villains again. I go back to it every few months.
and, my current total time waster: Lord of the Rings Online. Had pre-ordered the game, and paid the $199 lifetime membership package, and now never have to pay for the game again. Weeeee! Game kicks so much ass. I tried WoW a year or so back, hated it. But playing LOTRO since January now (Beta), I'm thoroughly in love with it.

Most of the early LucasArts adventure games, like the first 2 Monkey Islands or Indy and the Fate of Atlantis. I guess you could also consider the first Myst to be old.

    Metal Fatique(sp)
Warhammer 40K, Dawn of War Series
    the WoW
    Command and Conquer 10th Anniversary

I think I might still have Guild Wars and the first 3 Roller Coaster Tycoons installed.

Myst was only a year later then FOA, it just doesen't seem as old because they re-release it so often and because they were able to give it pretty pictures since they didn't have to move or fit onto floppies.

Damn, Did you pay money for it?

Actually i'd be amazed if even runs on something resembling a recent version of Windows, it barely worked on the version that it was designed for.
