Pop. I used to not like it all to much, but we used to listen to music together every now and then, and when we listened to her picks the genre sort of grew on me. :)  There's still a lot of songs I hate (the radio stations know there are more than five songs in the world, right? :lol ), but there are a couple others I actually really like!

I use to have this girlfriend that would always put on the cure when we fooled around. To this day, I cannot listen to the cure any longer. Plus it's depressing crap. Happy that craze is over.

She didn't make me listen to it, but a lot of music that I associated with her from our time together was from The Decemberists, Murder By Death, Death Cab for Cutie, and Tegan & Sara.

A female co worker made me listen to a whole Will Smith album once. Does that count?

My first love turned me onto the genre of drum and bass/jungle. I used to hate it until she showed me the beat to match dancing to.

    She also put me onto

    Baxter
    Brazilian Girls and
    Portishead

Corrupt by Karissa Noel. It was "our song" for an ex and me and now I just can't stand it. Not because I dislike the song but mostly because it reminds me of her.

LMAO - coincidentally, I just finished replying to my exGF's last text. She was pretty awesome when it was good between us, but damn, her taste in music left much to be desired. Country and off the wall folk music were her thing, and still are. Bob Dylan is the god whom she worships.

    DnB is awesome.

My ex-gf made me listen to Dubstep, then I started mixing dubstep for her to satisfy her cravings. I still mix dubstep until today. It has some mindf*cking bass.

Btw, Skrillex sucks balls. Dodge & Fuski FTW!

Not my ex, but my current girlfriend Jason Beeber-raped me last week. She wouldn't let me drive away from Sonic til the song was done playing through their PA system. It was excruciating.

Goddamn rap. Like... ghetto rap from the hood. WTF.

I'm a hard rock/metal guy through and through (Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Seether, Five Finger Death Punch, Linkin Park, Sevendust, Static-X, you get the idea), but I do love some techno/dubstep here and there.

If there is any music I can't stand its rap, r&b, hip hop, and worst of all..... country. I respect other peoples tastes but that stuff just sounds like pure unfiltered shit to me. No offense to anyone else here.
