So I picked up Gentei Strafe on BBTS. It finally dropped to a clearance price that's nearly reasonable ($40). I really like the colors on him, but that's not really the reason. I'm just an absolute whore for the Cyclonus mold.

I resisted getting SG Cyclonus, because I have no SGs whatsoever. But I bought Battle in Space at least as much for Cyclonus as I did Rodimus, and I already had Universe Cyclonus. So I've gotten two molds of the same character to be that character, and the other to be some Autobot that I don't even care about.

So any of you guys willing to admit a weakness for a particular mold? I anticipate getting lots of "Classic Seeker" and "Classic Optimus" responses, but I'd be especially interested in less conventional choices. :)

The Classics Sunstreaker/Sideswipe mold is my main. I have Sides/Streaker/Henkei Alert/Red Alert/Punch/CP and a Custom Breakdown made from that mold.

I really like the Drift/Blurr mold. I got both Drift, Blurr, and I'm working on getting their United versions too.

    Classics Skyfire mold.

... so simple, yet it makes for such a believable robot and jet. Not only that, but the jetpack/helmet/arm launchers can make such a big difference to the look, depending on which ones are worn. Granted, the feet are a little bit silly, but it's not like he's gonna do ballet anyway.

And then what happens when you want him to have some semblance of an alt. mode?

:lol  I was just about to post that!

I have both versions of Prowl, and I intend to get more at some point (boy, am I glad that the running change version didn't go the way of Ramulus or Optimus Minor :redface2: ).

    Awesome! :thumb

A cybernetic owl is just so strange it's cool! I have both versions as well, but I honestly havent investigated into any other releases of the mold. I'm pretty cool with the ones that I have! :)

Definitely! Favorite animal + favorite G1 Autobot = a winner in my book :thumb .

As for other releases, there aren't any outside of the two. I just plan on troop building the guy (my goal is to eventually have a shelf with nothing but cybernetic transforming owls :lol ).

Like MrFx above, Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold is king. I have a lot of the classics seekers mold too, but only the lambo where I am incline to repurpose by swapping heads and limbs. I have: Sideswipe,Sunstreaker,Red Alert (with Security Chief Head), Henkei Sideswipe,Henkei Sunstreaker,Henkei Red Alert, G2 Breakdown, G2 Sideswipe, Punch-Counterpunch, Tigertracks and Red Sunstreaker. I am also recently so inclined to buy something off KOTOYs.com since they had a Deep Cover KO. First purchase ever from them, but have heard a lot of horror stories. Don't usually like to buy KO's but I can't pass up Deep Cover KO.

Well, you have to cut away the plastic on his but above the two medal pin sides that stick out, like in the second pic. It takes seconds though, and I didn't even carve it, I just used a soldering iron.

I'm by no means a radicon, so trust me when I say that it's a VERY simple mod to make him really stand out (and he displays a million times better being more balanced and taking up less space).

Vector Prime is another one that I've always liked. I've never had him, but yeah. Really seems like a clever design, especially considering how simple it is.

Right now I'm going to say MP Grimlock. I find myself posing and transforming him a lot.
