I've seen him described anywhere from a Camaro 74 to 78 model.
Well according to this site the troubles seem solved... a bit.
This Camaro spotters guide helps a lot. Clearly old BB isn't a 74 model according to it because as it says; The 1974 Camaro retains the non-wrap around rear window making it easy to pick out.
    He's either 75, 76 or 77 model.

Just to help clarify things a bit :)

In one of the DVD special features they talk about Beaterbee and what year he is. It was basically a year of the Camaro that nobody wanted. I can't remember what year they said it was, though. 1979?

::edit:: Heh, nevermind- MilkManX answered the question. :)

That eBay auction for the old Camaro used in the movie also labeled it as a '77. Never been sure where the 1974 date came from that's been perpetuated for a while.

EDIT: Or '76 for that matter, but at least that one is only separated from the actual one by a year.

That's what I assumed too. One up our road has a black 77 Camaro (yes that also exist's in Denmark) and I've studied that one a bit, and it highly resembles BB a lot.
