While reading the article on kibble @ TFwiki, I came across the anti-kibble section. After reading that part, Here is my theory:

Anti-kibble is "kibble" that becomes some kind of tool.

    Something like:

Animated Blurr, when he transforms his hood becomes some saw-tool.

Cybertron Crosswise, when he transforms, his roof and windshield becomes a shield.

And a non-TF example: The Zeta Gundam. When it transforms into robot mode, the Wave Rider's(It's jet mode, if you will) nosecone becomes its shield.

    This is confusing me...

off-topic: I'm not sure if a topic like this belongs in toy discussion, but if it doesn't belong, mods, please move it.

I never heard of the term either. I just read up on the Wiki entry about kibble, and I think I understand what they mean.

Some TF toys have fake kibble that represents a part of the alternate mode in a place where that part does not exist. For example, Animated Bumblebee has a car roof on his chest. That is not his actual car roof. We're just so used to seeing Bumblebee with a roof-chest that the designers gave him a roof-chest anyway even though his car roof no longer goes on his chest.

As another example, literally every version of Movie Bumblebee has his license plate on his crotch, but it is not the same license plate as car mode. The real license plate from car mode usually ends up on his legs. I guess not even Hasbro could figure out how the license winds up on his crotch. :/

-not to mention the plate being folded in half. :)

Optimus Prime is a leader in "anti-kibble", as several toy incarnations have truck-front elements on the chest, like windows or grills, which aren't the actual parts from the vehicle mode.

Eh, fans made it up back in the day. Probably around Beast Wars Neo, when the kibble was the worst in all of TF history.

Alternators Tracks has a fake roof on his chest (the real car roof ends up on his back) that actually ends up on the underside of the vehicle mode. :)

2007 Movie Legends Jazz has a fake car front/grille/bumper on his chest (the real car front ends up on the sides of his legs) that ends up on the car's roof in vehicle mode.

And in more bizarre news, ROTF Deluxe Dead End is wearing G1 Dead End's car hood as a hat. :)

Powermaster Optimus Prime is the first one that comes to mind. And let's not forget Masterpiece Prime with his second grill

Animated Swindle's abdomen area isn't the vehicle mode's front grill :)
